amlodipine
my doctor wants to put me on Amlodipine. I have read it can make angina worse to begin with. I don't want to take it. What medications are other people taking for vaso spasm and microvascular angina?

Serious Question
I was advised I need thyroid replacement years back. I was active, healthy, walked 2 miles 3 x week. I was surprised , but trusted. I immediately felt like I was like someone on amphetamines. Finally after 4 3/4 yrs. I withdrew telling the MD. Most of the extreme complaints have gone or lessen. How much

viagra
I’m taking Felodipine for slightly raised BP and it’s working well . Unfortunately it’s causing some mild ED. I’ve tried other BP meds but can’t tolerate them. I had an ablation for AF nearly 12 months ago which has been successful. The urologist is suggesting viagra or similar. I’m worried it

To Kardia or not to Kardia............
Hello everyone, although I have replied to other people’s posts, this is the first question I’ve asked for myself. Knowing that many of you use Kardia’s, I’m hoping you can help me to make up my mind over a possible upgrade to the 6L version. First a bit of background; I was diagnosed with AF in late

Ectopic Heart Beats
My 24 hour holter monitor results are in. Doctor explained no AFib but evidence of Ectopic heartbeat. He didn't suggest any treatment as I am on Bisoprolol already. GP suggests live with it and report if gets uncomfortable. He didn't tell me the burden figure but I suspect low - when at rest. So far

Prinzmetal Angina
Hello All, This has been Hell. I finally got the diagnosis I knew I had. Extreme Running and energy drinks caused Coronary artery spasms. I am on amlodipine and a statin. My heart rate and BP are so low by nature of being a runner. I am on medication to raise my BP. I feel lethargic and icky. Has anyone

High Blood Pressure Weird Episode Could It Be Thyroid Related?
After my last post, I increased my NT by 1/4 grain as suggested. I had my blood work done a month or so ago and my thyroid levels were on the low side of normal. (I put them on here in the previous post). Last Sunday early morning I woke up with a bad headache over the top of my right eye, I felt that

Amlodipine side effect
Has anyone experienced a terrible itch using Amlodipine? I can’t find the exact spot, it moves around, even my fingers. I’ve actually taken a lump of skin off I’ve been scratching so much. I’m also on Simvostatin. The GP suggested I come off them for 2 weeks to see if it gets better but says he is

Review of Top 10 Prescribed Drugs and Their Interaction with Dental Treatment
Yet another paper which hints at quite a bit - bit then is behind a paywall. If anyone has access, just knowing the outline of what they say could be very interesting. We have had many question the impact of thyroid issues on their teeth and dental treatment. [i]Dent Clin North Am. 2016 Apr;60(2):

Blood Pressure tablets.
Can anyone help in regard to blood pressure tablets that do not have much in the way of side-effects. Currently I am taking Bendroflumethiazide 2.5mg which are fine. Because my blood pressure is now slightly raised I need to take a different tablet. I have tried Amlodipine and Rampril 2.5 mg - both

Hashimoto's, levothyroxine intolerance. Help please anyone?
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in February 2021, following a routine blood test, and put on 25mcg levothyroxine and was fine. In June 2021 my dose was increased to 50mcg. Again, I thought I was fine, although in hindsight, I think I may have been having side effects, but due to working etc missed

Reactions to Amlodipine ….
OMG! I’ve been taking Amlodipine since 2011 along with Lisinopril for HBP and water retention. I had no idea that Amlodipine was causing all the side affects I’ve been experiencing. The major being severe back/waist pain. The quality of my life is terrible because of this. My vacations have been sadden

Acid reflux, a side effect?
I’ve been on Amlodipine 10mg a day with no review for nearly two years. During that time, and I think gradually, I’ve developed silent acid reflux which is now a problem. Has anyone else had this? Is it a side effect? I’m going to do a week of BP readings to convince the doctor of average reading and
