Stent recovery time?
So 3 days ago I had a stent put in 95% blocked LAD. No HA, this was a planned procedure following an angiogram 3 months ago. I'd appreciate hearing others' experiences of how they felt after a stent and how long it took to feel fighting fit again. Everything I read online (God bless Google) and heard

Water Tablets
Amlodipine make my legs swell so doc has given me water tablets. Can anyone tell me if I take one in the morning how long I will need to keep visiting the loo, ie when would it be safe to go out without fear of needing a loo.

Gum problems & Amlodipine
Hi, my gums have been swelling and bleeding for a few months so I went to the dentist and she’s diagnosed Gingival hyperplasia. She asked all about my heart condition and medication. As soon as I mentioned Amlodipine, which Ive been on for 4 months, she said this was a common side effect. Im wondering

I haven't been very active on here for a while but thought I'd say 'hello' with this photo of our "room with a view" which I took yesterday when the sun was shining. Making the most of seeing beautiful places while we still can ... my medication makes me a bad traveler, my normally slim ankles are unbelievably

Pregnant @6 weeks
I have hypertension possibly due to CKD according to my doctors. Found out a couple of weeks ago that I’m pregnant so doctors switched me from Benazepril 40 to Amlodipine 5 to Nifedipine 60. Took them today and boy my heart starts racing. Looked it up and possible side effect is Tachycardia. This made

Hi, I have tried a few BP drugs and had side effects. I now refused to take anything as my life was miserable. I don't have any angina, I don't have heart problems and my BP isn't high away from doctors. I monitor it daily. The doctor machine fell apart and was too small cuff, I had to hold in place

Abandoned!
Well, finally had my 13/2 appointment with EP yesterday and as I don’t want an ablation I have been virtually abandoned. Was told I had tried all the tablets! Can’t take Flecainide it makes symptoms worse and been changed from Bisoprolol to Felodipine and now on Nebivolol. Keep taking the Nebivolol

Heart meds and sea sickness medication - advice needed please
Hello all, I'm on holiday in Thailand right now - my first long haul trip since my treatment with 5 stents and my diagnosis of CAD 18 months ago. Happily i'm feeling very well. We've booked a speedboat trip on Friday and I've been advised to take sea sickness medication in advance. In fact I understand

Weight gain is making me miserable - but which drug is it?
I’m 65, have always been slim and pretty healthy. Everything has fallen apart in the last six months. I’m now on 10mg of Bisoprolol, 50mg of Losartan and 5mg of Amlodipine a day! I’m piling on weight and my legs are swelling, both of which are making me very miserable. I guess it’s better than being

Shell shocked
Just had an angiogram, been listed for stents. Additional medications amlodipine and clopidogrel. I have had GTN spray since December. Feels like I'm waiting for a heart attack. Looks like I will not get stents for another 6 weeks. I'm a bit scared, not seen consultant just his assistant and a letter

Amlodipine and swollen legs
I have unstable angina and have been on 5mg Amlodipine for a year. Following a severe angina attack the cardiac doc at hospital upped the dose to the max at 10mg. Since then I find my legs are very swollen by bed time but fine again in the morning. I've been to the doc and he is investigating but

Burning head/scalp
Hey everyone! I’m new here but hoping to find someone who can relate to what I’ve been going through. I never suffered from health anxiety until december of last year, and it started with heart palpitations that landed me in the hospital. Once I found out that I was ok, the anxiety went away. Fast forward

5mg Bisoprolol
Hello again I am on 5mg Bisoprolol and also Amlodipine. Before the AF kicked off the Amlodipine was doing a good job at controlling my BP and my resting pulse was as it always had been, 65-75, occasionally into the 80's. Since AF started 1 month ago today (there's an anniversary I don't like), I've
