I have not had stents but Bypasses and I am 9 months now and get a lot of aching shoulders no one is concerned though when I tell them
I also get aching legs which could be the statins I take but worth putting up with
I wonder if any of your medications need looking at even if you have been on them a while if it is one of the side effects of any I believe you can get side effects at any time
I know this will not have helped much and others will no doubt be able to help you more but I would speak with my Doctor and see what they have to say
Cardiac team may be the best bet as some Doctors just seem to dismiss us
Thank you for asking how I am after the Bypasses , I am struggling because I have bad anxiety which I think could be getting in the way but it is lovely to be able to come on here and know some of what I am feeling is not just me and others feel the same way to , it helps to feel that you are not alone
Bless you. I had bad anxiety and self esteem after my attack last year, and got some help through the NHS talking to someone, which was amazing.Good luck with it, and hope it goes well xx
Statins can cause quite debilitating aches and pains, I am on Rusovastatin 5mg, if I take one every other day instead of daily then I get little or no statin induced aches and pains.
I’ve had 2 changes of statins as Atorvastatin and Rosuvatin give me joint pains. If you think it might be these, GP should either help you change your statin or fiddle with the dose. Good luck!
It is true that both GPs and cardiologists have a tendency to be dismissive of the after effects if they can't find a measurable cause through their various tests. I have come to the conclusion that they do this because it would be an enormous workload for them if they followed up patient specific symptoms that they consider not to be serious. This is totally unscientific but is based on my experience of 3 years in the system. A cardiologist said to me "there are a lot of you, but not many of us." I do totally get that of course, but it doesn't help a person struggling with pain, discomfort and anxiety.
HelloI have been suffering the same issues with my legs from knee below. Last week finally the rheumatologist diagnosed me with fibromyalgia causes from illnesses or shock. Hope that helps
