They developed it for PD but are now concentrating on using it for
ALS
. We need to push them to let PD patients try it. Some with
ALS
are trying to demand special use to be able to use it. Sure hope it can be used or comes to market soon!

Rising PSA after chemo, next steps?
My husband, 67, was Dx with high volume aggressive metastatic PC in April. PSA was 72.8. Started degarelix, had 6 sessions of docetaxel, added abiraterone in August, consolidative SBRT in September. Lowest PSA was 0.99 right after chemo, in August. In September, 1.12, October 1.87, and now in November

Why would psa come up and Alk phos come down. This is all so confusing. I’m so sorry to be redundant just trying to understand. I’m not getting answers from our local Oncologist and have to wait for our other Oncologist Dr Beltran to get some answers. Sorry

Update on my GCA/Large vessel vasculitis journey: off pred and back to normal (with TCZ)
My blood is regularly checked and all parameters are normal (to be expected with CRP and ESR due to the mode of operation of Actemra - but
als
inflammation markers not directly affected by TCZ such as interleukin-6 or calprotectin are low).
