Hi everyoneI have posted on here previously, history of subclinical hypothyroidism and GP reluctant to put me on medication for it. What are your suggestions about how to approach? I'm having some Hairloss but unsure if this is due to stress. My life is extremely stressful and I also have mental health

Been smelling smoke for a week after bonfire.
Constantly smelling smoke when the wind changed direction as I burnt some conifer branches. It's happened before but never continued for this long. Cut my nose hair, tried nasal sprays, irrigation etc; to no effect. Only thing that helps is Olbas oil which counters the stink. Googled it and it came

? Ashwagandha and Maca Root If Hypo
Hi.If anyone who regularly uses Ashwagandha and/or Maca Root, I would love to hear of their experience taking these. I have recently read that both Ashwagandha and Maca Root are natural ways to help rebalance hormones in menopausal women. I am not sure though, if they adversely affect thyroid meds.

Biotin and FT4/FT3 testing
We have seen discussions about the effect of biotin on thyroid tests (TSH, FT4 and FT3). This paper has the singular advantage of concentrating on the results for a single person in particular circumstances. That means, we see the specific effects of the biotin on one assay but not on another. Very

Scared of GnRH as symptoms include osteoporosis, alopecia and hot flashes. Endo and fibroid.
GnRH side effects scares me -
alopecia
osteoporosis depression weight gain. I'm a very active person, an artist and marketing professional. Very active on LinkedIn and I don't want to lose my self drive. I need help. Who has gone through medical menopause before? How did you react to GnRH?

Hi everyone, Up till now I have been taking Thybon T3 only but my doctor wanted me to add T4 , so I added Tirosint 50. I did feel tired so I reduced my T3 slightly. My question is, do I take the T4 with the T3 in the morning, or before? I also take T3 in evening. I am trying to do bloods, tried twice

hi. I’m 6 or7 years diagnosed with lupus, I’ve had a few different treatments over those years., but this is not about treatment.I’ve had some terrible symptoms over the years, and I feel a bit awful complaining about this minor issue now, but it is troubling me. Iron supplement help
Have made a few posts here about hair loss/ low ferritin. I have ordered the three arrows iron repair to see if I can increase ferritin. Can anyone tell me from my recent results, if one 20mg capsule a day would push my other results over the range? Or would it take a much larger amount? I also take

Bioton & testing + another question....
Guys, How long do you have to stop taking biotin before doing your thyroid bloods? I've heard 2 days is sufficient..... And can someone tell me the difference in licensed T3 (liothyronine) & unlicensed? Not that I'm on T3, but I'm wondering... Cheers

4 months on hair update
It must be 4 months on now since meds increased. The hair loss has continued to be greatly reduced from what it was doing. Everytime I wash or touch my hair I am not seeing 100s come out. I can brush my hair and not have loads lost. Still more come out than used to before all this. But not enough to

Question on product for eyelashes
I have frontal fibrosing
alopecia
and also have no eyebrows and few eyelashes (which used to be black, long and lush). Because I'm 70 years old I have droopy eyelids and false eyelashes don't stay on well.

Dry Eye Syndrome
Has anyone else with
alopecia
been diagnosed with this. Or could it be more linked to my thyroid than my
alopecia
as it is swollen and being monitored with borderline readings.

Biotin & Blood Work
Hi. I would appreciate your thoughts regarding biotin supplementation and how much time one should leave between a dose of biotin and a blood test measuring FT3, FT4 & TSH? I am really not sure, and getting conflicting info online. Some say 24h is okay, and other sources say anywhere between 3-7 days
