Covid vaccination and onset of PMR
I already have an autoimmune condition (a form of
alopecia
) and my mother had PMR. My GP of course says it is just coincidence. But it's a mighty big one. If you have managed to read this far, I would be so interested to hear any of your views.

Stopping meds due to hair loss.
Having taken 125mg Levo for a year or so I noticed my hair was thinning at an alarming rate. So I just stopped taking it! I never felt much better while taking meds or not, so am I really doing the wrong thing by stopping altogether? Doctor unable to do blood tests at the moment due to Covid-19. Any

Iron supplementation - ferric EDTA
I’ve started researching which form of Iron is best to take but would appreciate anyone who is able to forward any studies they’ve come across. Anything I’ve started to read has allowed no further access to information. Wanting to try the Better You Iron 10 spray (contains ferric EDTA) as tablets

RED LIGHT THERAPY aka Photobiomodulation"?
Does anyone have any experience with something called "RED LIGHT THERAPY aka Photobiomodulation"? I was thinking of having a group of sessions as thee clinic states that it is very helpful for chronic pain. As with everything else I have experienced, it does not come cheap, so just curious if anybody

Alopecia Areata & Mercury
I am new here and never joined an
alopecia
forum so this is all new to me. I am 26 years old and had
alopecia
areata for 12 years. My hair loss has never been that excessive and i’ve always managed to hide it well.

Food insensitivity results...how to interpret the results?!?!
A new doctor recently ordered extensive testing as he suspected food sensitivities to be the reason why my body does not use thyroid hormone at cellular level (as shown by a 24 h urine analysis). I have just received nine pages of results covering over 300 foods, and those above range (>7.5 U/mL) are

Armour hair loss
Has anyone experienced hair loss on Armour. I was optimal tor four months but still felt hypo but all my hair fell out. Now on t3 only getting optimal, panicking it will not grow back. Iron and all other vits are optimal it’s really just the Armour which apparently is a common side effect. Thanks

Biotin - is 6 days long enough?
I totally forgot about a blood test I had coming up. It's tomorrow morning. I've been sporadic on taking my b vits this month taken a grand total of 8 times this month. 🤦🏻♀️Typically 2 of those times were 23rd & 24th which will be 6 days gap between taking biotin and having bloods drawn. Is that

Is there a link between PV and Alopecia areata (AA)?
Hi, Back in Summer 2019 I was diagnosed with
Alopecia
areata (AA). Then in Feb 2020 a blood test picked up high red blood cells / haemoglobin and haematocrits. In October just gone I was told I almost certainly have PV despite being negative for JAK2. (I have low EPO too).

Is this alopecia?!
At the start of lockdown I noticed this patch, I called the doctor and had a blood test. I was told I had really low B12 and that would explain the sudden hair loss. Well over the last 12 weeks it’s got a lot bigger. I’ve had a repeat blood test and my B12 is now normal. I have another bald patch on

Alopecia
Hi, i’m extremely scared to write this as I haven’t really spoken to anyone about my hair loss. I’ve just recently turned 18 and I have a lot of bald patches. My hair loss is now at a point where I can not cover any patches no matter what I do with my hair. I’m constantly covered in hair and so much

Hair Loss
Having lost my hair once to methotrexate and regained it following change of dosage I’m now losing it again due to stress (or call it Covid-19!) It’s now really thinned and I just wondered if there’s a point when the shedding stops in anyone’s experience? Friends keep telling me to get my hair cut to

Androgenic hair loss
I've added another link which describes another type of hair loss called cicatricial
alopecia
which I think is also important.
