New prescription of ERFA with levo decrease
Hi everyone I've recently had my first consult with a recommended Endo on TUK list and also some people in my local thyroid group. Mostly good reviews but one person unhappy with him. He's putting me on NDT as says I'm not converting FT4 to FT3 as I suspected. So sorry its so long, I've tried to ask

15 Years of pramipexole
58 year old male. I have an appointment with my primary care physician to discuss alternatives to pramipexole. I've taken it nightly for 15 years, probably the last 10 at 0.5 mg. I believe I have the symptoms of augmentation: earlier onset, spreading to arms, decreasing efficacy. Occasionally I have

I'm hashimotos taking teva levo 125/100 alternate days. Thybon. T3, 5mcg x3 times a day. I'm feeling better, but still feel worn out by afternoon. Very heat intolerant. Sometimes I struggle to sleep.Any advice on these results would be greatly appreciated 🏵️🌸🪷🏵️

Hypothyroidism and Statins
Diagnosed with hypothyroidism 25+ years ago which has been successfully managed since then (75mcg Levothyroxine.) After many years of resistance to taking statins took the plunge and began medication in the springtime of this year - 20 mg Atorvastatin. All ran smoothly for 3 months with no side-effects

Interpreting results
I'm fairly new to this. I got a Hashimoto's diagnosis at the beginning of the year and started on Levo in January. My TSH wasn't massively high (6.3) but I have symptoms so they agreed but started me on a really low dose of 25mcg. I recently increased to 50mcg and have just had my bloods to review

Advice T3 vs TSH levels
Hi All - I've been following advice on supplements and timing of tests but NHS has problems with results and need advice as what to do - I take Armour NDT with Levo. Haven't had a conversation with them about it, changing practices and moving back to the states for a period of time but will be back

hot sweats
hi I’m here again 😂 just wanted some advice the doctor has reduced my Levo from 200 mg to 175 and I’ve only been on the reduced dose for about a week so I’m just wondering why I’m getting hot flushes all of a sudden when I didn’t have them on 200 mg as anyone any ideas x

Total vs Free T4 and T3 tests
A regular question is whether we should test Free T4 and/or T3, or Total T4 and/or T3. I was reading the current prescribing information for Armour Thyroid (in the USA) and noticed this issue is actually addressed: [i]Changes in TBg concentration should be taken into consideration in the interpretation

Is it ethical for GP to withdraw thyroid meds with no notice?
I've been on combination Levo and Armour for 20 years or so and well since 2016 when and NHS endo sorted out the levels and backed NHS prescribing Armour. On Monday the Armour was removed from my repeat script. I moved 2 years ago and the new GP's have written the script because I have the backing

Feeling hyper - why?
Below are my results from last week on 2 grains of armour for about 3 weeks, reduced to 1 for about 2 weeks then half for another 2. I reduced because I felt really unwell. I stopped entirely for 4 days and yesterday I took 50mcg of Levo. I feel like I’m on a stimulant. I’m not complaining as up until

Advice needed (again) from you lovely people
Me again. I’m so sorry for the long post, thank you so much if you get to the end. Advice from lovely people on this forum ~7 years ago was great and I can’t thank them enough. I pushed for my GP to investigate further and although she disagreed my B12 was poor (it scraped into the range when the GP

starting NDT
hello I’ve been on levothyroxine for about 15 years and today I’m switching to NDT. My practioner told me to start at 15mg then increase to 30mg ,60mg being the maximum. As I hadn’t received her email yet I took 30 mg today which was too much. Tomorrow I’ll start at 15 mg,how often should I increase

Conversion Issue
Hello everyone I recently wrote about my issues and still feeling pretty crappy. Would anyone be able to look at my labs and determine if I actually have a conversion issue. the issue with these labs is that unfortunately I did take the levothyroxine before as I was not told otherwise. Photo below

Low TSH and decreasing T4
Good morning. I've been having frequent blood tests as my TSH has been below range for quite some time. I had an appointment with the GP this morning and my TSH is even lower at 0.06 (sorry didn't get ref range). He advised that this indicates that I am over medicated, but said that he wouldn't decrease

I keep changing dose, feeling better, then having a flare-up of mysterious symptoms, then feeling worse again.
I (31F) was diagnosed with Hashimoto's exactly one year ago. Before then, I spent 2 years trying to convince public healthcare that I was having hypothyroid symptoms, but my TSH kept coming back at 2.5 so they dismissed me. In August 2023 I saw a private endo and she put me on levo as my TSH came back

ADVICE
Hello, Apologies for such a short notice in requesting advice about taking Levothyroxine and Liothyronine therapy before a blood test on Wednesday 7 August at 12.20 pm at my surgery. I am aware the tests should be done before 9 am but this is an emergency test so they could not give me an early morning

Very Low TSH normal T4/T3 Doc wants to lower Levothyroxine dose
Since first being diagnosed hypothyroid, my TSH has generally been low. One consultant thought that taking me off completely would sort it out. I was ill for months, lost hair and took a long time to recover. I'm not keen on 'reducing' my dose while my energy levels are okay. Today my doc wants to lower

I’m fine. Really?
Brain fog is a brilliant description that no one can really understand until they experience it. I feel like my brain is surrounded by a thick cotton wool-like layer that makes me want to just lie down and close my eyes - except that makes me dizzy. What the heck is happening to me? I’m 65 and moved

Long term statins and levothyroxine.
I've been having muscle and joint pain which a GP said may be due to long term use of stains. He recommended coming off them for a month to note any difference. Another GP advised a second month off them but to recommence after as there was no real good alternative to statins. I believe the joint and
