I have been seeing Professor Matthew Walker for RLS. I am taking 600mg of gabapentin at 3pm and a further 600mg at 7pm. I also frequently take a further 300mg at midnight. I was on 6 x .088mg of Pramipexole which I have gradually come off of completely since September 2023. I took my last 1/2 of.088mg

creatinine in old age--an interesting question
I am 76 year old Indian man with excellent health and no health issues like B.P, thyroid, Liver lssues, Diabetes etc.,No protein in urine. Even all my my kidney parameters are normal including all electrolytes, BUN, Uric Acid, Urea etc. etc. My nephrologist says that not to worry. Just monitor creatinine

i had a miscarriage at 5 weeks after a frozen embryo transfer. They have given me two options: one is modified natural cycle and other is same previous method where I was given estrogen tablets patches and pessaries and had embryo transfer. I’m not sure which option is better. I had a positive pregnancy

Real issues with brands
For many months now I have been having real issues trying to get my usual thyroid brands and along the way I have been given (and tried) other brands which caused a really severe reaction so I am very limited now on the brands I WILL try because I refuse to go through the hell I went through again.

Does this look more Euthyroid and less central hypo now?
Hello everyone, This is my 4th thyroid test (all testing advice adhered to, tests between 9.00-9.40am) over the last 6 months since joining HU and asking for advice. It looks to me like T4 has started to raise. I've listed below all 4 tests for comparison. It's now 47% through the range which seems

FDG elements of PSMA scan
I had a FDG scan a few days ago . At the heart of my confusion is the function of FDG in giving a positive outcome to Pluvicto infusions. Is it a good thing to have lots of 'FDG Avid' showing up, or do you want those aspects of the scan to be as hidden as possible (so that the PSMA -Avid cells can be

Do I need to go back on Thyroxine?
Just a heads up folks, this is going to be a long post! I have been off thyroxine for just over a year now, I will attempt to explain in a long winded way how this came about. I was put on thyroxine when I went into menopause which happened before I was 50 (I am now 62). I have always been on 50mg,

Viatris 5mcg liothyronine feedback please from NHS
Hi. Has anyone taken Viatris 5mcg liothyronine T3. Or can you compare with other liothyronine 5mcg brands. My sister has just been prescribed T3 alongside her usual levothyroxine T4 medication privately as her latest T3 results was low (24%) But a huge surprise was that her NHS GP gave her a liothyronine

Lab results , here we go!
Hi all, So I've been diagnosed with Hashimotos for 30 years. It took me 20+ years on Synthroid and feeling crappy to educate myself as to why. Well I learned of T3 and it was added bout 11 years ago. Last year on a visit my bp was elevated, I went to a cardio and had all tests . All was fine but

Just starting on levo at 50.....can you advise me please?
Good morning, further to my previous "excited" post at being medicated! Can you please advise me as to whether I should start off at 25 for 4-6 weeks (see how I go) before taking the 50? I've never taken this before & having read all the posts here it is very clear that "small & slow" is the way forward

Test results. Can you advise please.
After great advice on this forum regarding my thyroid nodules, I requested from my GP surgery the same tests as are provided in the Blue Horizon Golden Thyroid Test. The clinician seemed to want to help and I thought almost everything would be tested. However, these are my results and, as is clear
