Tightening Chest

I have increased my AirFluSal inhaler to 3 puffs twice a day instead of the usual 2 as advised by the asthma nurse on my yearly review over the phone. I also had a Covid test on Monday which came back negative.

Fostair side affects?

I’m 21 and I’ve been taking fostair 100/6 4 puffs a day for about 5 months now, and at first I had the usual side affects - hand shaking, headaches and slight nausea, but they subsided mostly (still get hand shaking) after about a month and the inhaler has made a massive difference to my asthma. But

Inhaler issues

Well.. like I have posted earlier having issues with finding an inhaler that I do not have horrible side effects from. I am still recovering from extreme eye irritation and eye and sinus dryness from Spiriva. So now my doctor said to use my Albuterol inhaler as needed and an order for a neubulizer and

Changing inhalers

Hi. I've been changed from flutiform to fostair due to side effects. I've only been on the fostair a few days but it feels like it's not doing a great deal. My chest & upper back hurt. I laugh, I cough. I feel like I've got more shortness of breath than usual. How long should it take to start working

Fit bit info when in asthma flare up

Wondered if anyone else noticed odd things with fit bit/ other similar watch info when in an asthma flare up/attack. Two weeks ago had a flare up, asthma symptoms lasted about a day and half, which is fairly short for me and managed to get on top of it with reliever and steroid inhaler. During that

Hot AC issues?

Hi y'all, My SO has pretty mild asthma, she usually uses the inhaler every couple of weeks due to coughing episodes. One thing that really bothers her is AC turned to heating mode. It immediately makes her "lungs hurt", and causes difficultly breathing. I think I've heard about different "air filtering

Week 2 Completed

Week 2 run 3 completed really happy with it, although I did need to take my inhaler halfway through today probably because of the wind (not mine 😆), and it wasn’t raining as forecast. Looking forward to week 3.

Why is my breathing suddenly so bad?

I have had asthma for years but although I admit I generally haven't taken my preventer regularly I have felt very comfortable. Suddenly my symptoms have become severe. No cough, just tight and unable to breathe easily. When it first started it was terrifying as my chest, diaphragm and ribs felt exhausted

New to this positive and helpful forum.,

Hello, I’ve just joined and am pleasantly surprised how kind, positive and helpful the posts are. I’ve COPD and since February 2020 have benefitted from an inhaler. Usually active and healthy but was worrying about a future with COPD. Reading such encouraging comments I feel more positive and optimistic

Life after COVID-19 Pneumonia

My family and I all contracted COVID in December, and as much as I tried to care for my Mum at home, come the critical “Day 10” her oxygen levels had dropped and she was hospitalised a week before Christmas. I will forever be grateful the hospital saved her life, and we got her home twelve days later

I'm with you Pootle1973

I'm really upset at the changes regarding Asthma & Group 6. Have Gov\their advisors just realised how many people with Asthma there are & panicked their vaccination figures are going to decrease, so we're kicked out the group & told it's OK, probably won't die. Even though we've been told the opposite

Constant throat clearing issues

O K this by way of an update. I have been trying to stick with the asthma inhaler for my chronic throat clearing, but in all honesty I think it is making it worse, Looked up and read this today on an ashtma website. :- Can steroid inhalers cause throat problems? It has long been known that one
