Hi Everyone. I'm so sorry for asking yet another question........I have moderate COPD, mild Pulmonary Hypertension and scarring on my lungs from sarcoidosis [which is not active now]. So I think that the fact that I have Pulmonary Hypertension and COPD puts me into 2 different categories of PH, and I know [I think!] that each category is treated differently. My appointment with the respiratory specialist isn't for another month, and I was wondering if anyone else fell into more than one category, and how they were treated? I just don't know what to expect.....I'm on Trimbow Inhaler at the moment [for my COPD], but does anyone take oral medication as well as inhalers? Also, and I'm sorry for yet another question, but if anyone is in the same boat, are there medications that can treat COPD AND PH? I'm just feeling very muddled and want to have my thoughts clear when I see the specialists. Thank you so. so much. Shelley.

Pulmonary Hypertension, COPD and Sarcoidosis

both pulmonary hypertension and sarcoidosis are rare diseases so you might not get much of a response here . ( I used to be a life assurance underwriter ).
But I can offer suggestions.
Note down briefly some of your concerns. Go away and leave your notes. Talk to a friend. Go back to your notes. Make some more jottings. Go away again.
By this time your mind might be clearer on what you want to achieve.
If at all possible take someone with you to your appointment and let them hold your notes. Ask them to tick it all off, and to make notes of what the Specialist says.
You could ask the same question on another related HealthUnlocked community and see what happens e.g Lung Conditions Community Forum which is fairly active.
And +1 on writing notes and refining questions as you get nearer your appointments.
This and the liver issues. Seems you're really being put through the ringer. Sorry to hear this update.
