I have recently been changed from a fostair inhaler to trimbow. Initially I felt positive, I was less breathless on exertion. After a few days I started to get muscle spasms in my back and rib cage, I also developed swollen feet and lower legs. Has anyone experienced similar effects.

Change from Fostair to Trimbow

i was on Fostair then switched to Trimbow and i hated it, it exacerbate my Asthma, went back to Fostair MDI it was ok(not good as before) then it did not work at all, change it to Fostairnexthaler and it was live changing. I don't know why the Fostair MDI did not work for me after Trimbow, i don't remember muscle spasm in my ribs but my all body muscles and i can’t tell if it’s because of Trimbow or the vitamin D deficiency.
Great question, sadly I cannot help. But I am on Fostair 100/6 mart and control has deteriorated. I had identified Trimbow as a possible alternative but now I might seek montelukast as an add on. Hope you secure a solution.
I am six weeks into Trimbow and yes I have muscle spasms but they are lessening day by day. I haven’t had any leg swelling though. I also supplement with vitamins D & K plus the B vitamins including B12. As an interesting aside, when I was feeling more poorly than usual, my son was visiting with his flatmates (all overseas medical students graduating this summer).they diagnosed pulled muscles and suggested rest. They then cooked the dinner they had come to eat and pampered me endlessly but the interesting comment they made was that back home they would have suggested taking Pine Bark capsules as I am older. In the UK we have alternative medicine, overseas they call it complementary medicine which goes hand in hand with conventional medicine. I started taking Pine Bark 10 days ago and I don’t know if these are reducing the muscle spasms but my general aches and pains are reducing as are my varicose veins. I felt confident in trying this as they are all NHS trained and know me well
