Feeling confused
Hi everyone, I am new to the site and would be grateful for any feedback 🙂 I have been under a gastroenterologist for the last year and after various scans I was diagnosed with a non alcoholic fatty liver in February of this year. I was told I needed to lose weight and exercise. In April I had a fibroscan

Sirolimus used for LAM, but not only
Well Metformin Rapamycin, Resveratrol are the new better-aging pharma trends..So they are selling those to people who want to rejuvenate. I don’t know honestly..In Swiss clinics they go like hot cakes..as well as stem cells. I am old-fashioned maybe but meds are meds, and they are for treatment ..

Has anyone been diagnosed with wet macular degeneration after being given Clopidogrel or other blood thinners. Have seen some posts about it on a USA sites but nothing on UK sites. I find the second round of eye injections very painful and distressing. Dreading the next one, feel really shook up for

Pre cataract surgery drops
In error, I used prednisone drops prior to surgery. Will this cause a problem with surgery being able to be done?

Post heart attack meds side effects
Hi I’m 41 and had a heart attack 2 months ago. Although I’m back at work I still get really tired at times and often feel nauseous and light headed. BP is stable so presuming it’s just side effects of ACE inhibitors and beta blockers ??? Has anyone else had similar issues

Anybody here with Central Retinal vein occlusion CVRO
-- and associated macular edema??? I was diagnosed with this and had an injection almost immediately. At that time, my vision loss was not very bad and within 1 week I had gained my vision. BUT - I was unable to have another injection for 9 weeks and by that time my vision was VERY bad with quite severe

Cataract Surgery. Off topic.
I’m scheduled to have it soon. I’ve worn glasses for 58 years and can’t function without. How did you handle using glasses while waiting on the second surgery? Did you get new glasses? Get rid of a lens? Thanks in advance.

Possible misdiagnosed Macular Degeneration at 17 years old?
4 years ago, when I was 17, my vision got drastically worse and an opthalmologist told me I’ve got macular degeneration (my mom had it). I was also told that your condition cannot improve, you can only control it after it gets diagnosed. I got some meds prescribed, which, as an irresponsible teeen,

In regards to my last post "Following My Post on Fatty Liver, More Perplexed": Thanks for the kind replys and information everyone, my main worry it's that the 3.9 Kpa reading was before my 7 months heavy daily drinking and I will only have stopped 5 weeks until the next Fibroscan, this has what has

How to prepare for my first Eyelea/lucentis injection and is it safe to fly 4 days later
My doc is not absolutely sure if I have wet macular but I have definite vision change in left eye ( dry amd in both eyes) and while he says its not typical, he wants to try eyelea or lucentis to get rid of fluid I have on the retina ( i had CSR ten years ago). Problem is I am scheduled to to a 22 hours

Severe macular oedema
A few months ago, I thought that I needed new spectacles so I went to an optometrist who immediately referred me to an ophthalmologist telling me that I had retinal bleeding in the right eye. The opthamologist diagnosed me to have a macular oedema consequent upon a retinal vein blockage and gave me

40 and too young for cataracts
In October 17 I was told I had a small cataract in my left eye. And that I've probably had it most of my life and not to worry. I turned 40 in Nov 17 so I am quite young to be diagnosed. In April 18 I noticed that I was looking my vision in my left eye and with in 6-8 weeks it had gone. I call the opticians

Fatty Liver? Haven't felt Good in Months
Can you have cirrhosis with a fibroscan of 4.3? I've had constant Right and left upper quad pain for three months. I've been a daily drinker for 10 years. Have had CT and ultrasound. Both showed a fatty liver. ALT was at upper limit for a couple years. Quit drinking 3 months ago and all labs have
