Hi I’m 41 and had a heart attack 2 months ago. Although I’m back at work I still get really tired at times and often feel nauseous and light headed. BP is stable so presuming it’s just side effects of ACE inhibitors and beta blockers ??? Has anyone else had similar issues

Post heart attack meds side effects
Hi
Sorry to hear how you’re feeling. I am having the exact same problems. Every day is a struggle with the tiredness, dizziness and constant shaking. have even fallen/lost my footing a few times causing horrendous bruises due to the Ticagleror and aspirin.
Have had it checked several times and no one seems to be concerned about it and my BP is normal -128/70.
The thing is that it is now causing me not to venture to far from home and I don’t like being on my own.
Not sure where to turn next.
Regards
Tracy
Hi Miguel. It takes time to get used to them however if the side effects are so debilitating it is worth asking for a medication review. You still will be able to contact rehab team to discuss with them. Also speak to your pharmacist as they are excellent at suggesting alternatives so that you can discuss with your GP. I developed allergies/sensitivities to 4 of my tablets and now I am much better. However I still have a nana nap in the afternoon some days!! But I think that is more age related!! It may also be that you have returned to work too soon? But only you can decide that. Take care. Zena
yes this is pretty normal I have a heart attack and cardiac arrest 14 months ago similar symptoms. takes time to get used to them.
Hi Miguel, I’ve been experiencing these too this past week. I thought it was a virus but from what people are saying I may be reacting to the meds. I’ve been on then since March with no side effects. I wonder why that would change? If anyone knows that would be good. Best of luck x
Thanks for replies as a registered nurse I should no better but health care professionals make awful patients !!
