3 Years After Stage IV Diagnosis
His issues all have to do with
ADT
, not the cancer itself. When my husband was diagnosed in April, 2020 he started
ADT
(Firmagon) right away. Then he did chemotherapy (Docetaxel) along with an immunotherapy drug as part of a Phase 2 clinical trial.

How do I gradually run faster, what’s best?
I need to go to go out & do Wk 8 Run 2 this morning & prevaricating (but will do it) …. I’m an exceptionally slow runner and run 1 on Wednesday felt rubbish, so was good to read about Toxic 10 & Tomato Ten in someone else’s post as I do have these! (And in swimming too!) I want to run gradually faster

A New Direction
After seven years of fighting this disease with chemo, radiation,
ADT
, and abiraterone, I suffer from fatigue, nerve damage and paralysis and nerve pain in my left foot from radiation treatment, as well as depression, and a constant feeling of uncertainty.

A shock diagnosis almost seven years ago. Then the merrygoround of surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, hormone treatment and slowly but surely the cancer progresses. Here I am, wondering where to go next and contemplating if chemo with cabazitaxel is the way to go. Does anyone have any experience with

Zoladex injection
I began the zoladex injection in January of this year, I then had a laparoscopy in March which diagnosed my endometriosis. I had light bleeding for a couple of weeks after and then it completely stopped. Since then, I've had 2 episodes of heavy bleeding lasting 10 is days. No hormonal treatment has helped

Compression fracture or something worse?
Hello! My dad has been battling stage four prostate cancer for nearly nine years. He's done remarkably well, all things considered. He's had chemo, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and second line hormone therapy. Along the way he has had heart issues and also CNS lymphoma (brain cancer).

Rise in psa
I had rp in 2021 with recurrence 12 months later to 1 lymph node. RT to 9lymph nodes and zoladex hormone therapy for 18 months. Psa has been undetectable for 12 months but just rose to 0.03. Do I need to wait until it rises to 2.0 as I've seen advice before or is there a more proactive approach? Thanks

Hi everyone, My Dad (77) diagnosed in January w/ stage 4 PC, mets to L5 spine. PET scan showed no other spots elsewhere. PSA was 19 at time of diagnosis, Gleason 10. BRCA negative. PSA is now at 0.2 since starting hormone therapy. Feeling good, no pain. Still works (owns his own company). Started

Cause of steady increase in Alt (liver) score
My husband is on
ADT
3 monthly (10.8mg) Zoladex and due to have 6th and final Doxetaxal infusion next Thursday but his Alt score is now 114. He also takes Prednisolone and Omeprazole and he’s on a clinical trial too so is taking Metformin.

"Gasoline" Source
I have been trying to find the source for the observation? that "Testosterone to prostate cancer is like gasoline on a fire". I finally asked Bing Copilot and ChatGPT-- who came up with the answer. Me: What is the source of the "gasoline on a fire" theory in prostate cancer? ChatGPT: Dr. Patrick

Salvage options?
Hello again, I have a few more questions, to help my husband decide between surgery and brachyboost. For context, he is localized Gleason 9. (1) Is the course of salvage radiation after RP typically the same as it would have been if the initial treatment had been radiation therapy? Or would it require

Surgery or radiation, looking for some advices
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advices for my father. He was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. He probably already had it for a long time. Quite high PSA (way over 20), and spread to multiple lymph nodes. The surgeon said surgery is still doable, followed by radiation. Radiation oncologist
