I’ve been on Prednisolone for 2 years this month starting at 15mg steadily going down until January when I stopped at 1mg . It wasn’t long before I had to back up to 5 mg . I am also on weekly Risondodate for bone protection as well as two blood pressure tablets 15mg candesartan and 2.5 mg indapamide

Hi, I fractured a vertebrae in my spine in September. I’m 66 with no family history of osteoporosis. Besides Hashimotos I also have Sjögren’s. My blood tests last year showed my vitamin D levels were inadequate so at my GP’s request I took vitamin D3. However, after a few months I began to have heart

Supplement advice please for a newbie
I have had to cancel my GP appointment, that I have waited three weeks for, as I have contracted covid and the next one available is in four weeks. I want to feel as well as I can, as soon as I can. I had a total thyroidectomy late last year for thyroid cancer followed by RAI in March. I got through

Any correlation between Pca and Herpes virus?
I recently read some papers that have found some correlation between Alzheimer's and the Herpes virus. I also have a friend who was diagnosed with stage 3 Multiple Myeloma (bone marrow cancer) that spent 3 years researching his issue and concluded that the Herpes Simplex virus is likely the culprit,

Can we take AD-cal at the same time as Pred?
Greetings one and all. At some time in the last year I read, somewhere (??) that I shouldn't take my Pred at the same time as my Adcal - but I now I can't find where I read it. Has anyone any knowledge on this and, if it is true, what is a reasonable time lapse between the two drugs? Thank you.

Supplements and levothyroxine
Hi, After recent bloods my T4 was increased from 112.5mcg to 150mcg T4. I've not included results as I've done that before and it's not what I'd like help on. My next blood tests are on 25th July (8 weeks after increase). It has been recommended on this site that I also supplement Vit D3 as it was

Looking for Ozzie Bob
Around the middle of May this year, Ozzie Bob posted a link to a story about an A-Fib sufferer who spent about 10 years systematically trying one thing (supplement, vitamin, mineral etc) at a time until he discovered a "cure" for himself. I remember he found he had to keep Calcium lowish and I think

Vitamin d3
I have been taking 4000iu vitamin D3 & K2-MK-7 for a few months now and just noticed it says do not take if on anti coagulants. Does anyone know why this would be? I am in permanent AF at the moment but I thought that was because I broke my wrist and went into shock. Could it be the vitamin D ??

Hydroxvchloroquine or Methotrexate
Have new consultant who wants to change my dmard to methotrexate but I am really concerned because I am on blood thinners for past DVTs, have atrial fibrillation and low blood pressure. I was diagnosed with RA in March and saw a consultant who decided the best treatment for me was a high dose of steroids

Feeling so tired and absolutely drained
Good afternoon, l wonder whether anyone would be kind enough please to see if they can help me? I have been feeling very tired and drained for several months and I am not sure if it might also have been aggravated by Covid, which I had in March this year. I have had a series of private blood tests,

Hello everyone! I’ve just about finished my high dosage prescribed 20,000u x 3 a week for 6 weeks of D3 and due to start my daily 1000u after that. In the last week I’ve notice my veins in legs and arms have become very hard and pronounced and legs particularly visible varicose looking veins

Feeling really down
I have recently started treatment for recurring cancer.Rubrac a didn't work for me and I have already had Carbo/Taxol and Carbo/Caelyx. As my son and his family are visiting from New Zealand in July (prompted by my increasing ill health) I decided to try Anastrazole tablets rather than weekly Taxol,
