Hello everyone! I’ve just about finished my high dosage prescribed 20,000u x 3 a week for 6 weeks of D3 and due to start my daily 1000u after that.
In the last week I’ve notice my veins in legs and arms have become very hard and pronounced and legs particularly visible varicose looking veins. Is this normal indication? Or a sign I’m up to quota. Blood test in about 8 weeks time. Observations pls?

So you've finished your loading doses and you're not due to retest for another 8 weeks? Is that Vit D test? So you're expected to take 1,000iu now until testing in 8 weeks?
You should test now to check your level and work out what maintenance dose you require. It's unlikely that 1,000iu will be enough. If GP wont test now then do it with a private test and if GP is prescribing 1,000iu as a maintenance dose you'd be better off buying your own and getting a decent supplement.
You might want to check out a recent post that I wrote about Vit D and supplementing:
and you can check out the link to how to work out the dose you need to increase your current level to the recommended level.
Just look for your current level and scroll down to the table that includes this, then see what they suggest to achieve the recommended level of 50ng/ml (125nmol/L)'
You can convert your nmol/L result into ng/ml by dividing the nmol/L figure by 2.5
I gave you information about the important cofactors needed when taking D3 in response to your previous post here, details of private testing lab also in that reply:

I had severe Vit D deficiency with a level of 15nmol/L and that didn't happen to my veins, in fact my veins didn't change at all.
Yes, you mentioned that your D3 loading doses were prescribed but as I said above 1,000iu isn't likely to be enough as a follow on dose. You need to retest now, privately if necessary, and base your new dose on the new result using the Vit D Council's table that you will find information about in my post that I linked to above, plus take the cofactors mentioned if you haven't already started them.
