Irritability on levo dose increase?
Hello all, I'm about 4 weeks in to a dose increase of levo from 100 to 125mcg. I'm familiar with a surge in 'wired and frantic' energy when I've reached about the 3 week point on a new higher dose in the past. And I had that a few days ago. It had settled. However today I've been increasingly irritable

I have a visit with the endocrinologist on Thursday so would like advice on what I should ask for. Diagnosed hypothyroidism in February and prescribed levothyroxine (accord brand) which left me with chronic joint pain. I had loads of other tests which came back normal and doctors refused to believe it

Anomalous results - follow up
Hello everyone, This is a follow up to my last post two months ago which described the anomalous results from two tests one NHS and one Medichecks only one day apart and both done following the usual protocol. These were done following an increase in levo to 100mcg on 1 June. As I expected when my GP

Should I reduce my levothyroxine?
My latest results show that I'm overmedicated. I'm currently on 150mg of levothyroxine and 31.5mcg of t3. I don't feel overmedicated. My bowels are usually an indication that im over, but im still getting my usual sluggish bowel. I'm a little tired but I'm menopausal too. Should I reduce anything or

bariatric surgery
I’m having bariatric surgery in January. I’m currently on a high dose of levothyroxine (175mcg] and am wondering how I keep track of appropriate dosage when losing a stone a month.

On 100mcg Levo keep waking at 4am heart rate has increased.
I’ve been on 100mcg for nearly 6 weeks now. I’ve been taking melatonin for about 3 months and sleeping well but I’ve stopped taking it as I’ve been reading it can lower your Testosterone levels. Felt fine stopping was sleeping ok for a week but gradually my resting heart rate has gone from late 40s to

lactose intolerance and vaginal oestrogen containing lactose monohydrate 🤷🏽♀️
hi there, Sorry not strictly thyroid related but I trust you symptom sharing lot so I hope you don’t mind. Having sorted my thyroid replacement I can now see I have some perimenopausal symptoms. The Menopause specialist at GP is reluctant to prescribe Lenzetto & Urtogestan until I have the all clear

Vencamil (was Aristo T4) now more expensive
This is for information as much as anything. I've been settled on Aristo T4 for a good 18 months. Pharmacist this week said they can't get them so I pointed out they have rebranded to 'Vencamil' , after looking they agreed that was the case and said to get GP to change prescription to reflect that. GP

I have been on levothyroxine 100mcg for last 3 years, I had my annual blood test in June tsh came back 2.2, after having some symptoms I got them done again as I was having a repeat ESR because that came back very high and the thyroid come back at 3.3 so it’s creeping up. ( I know tsh not the perfect

private Endo
Hi everyone. Like many on here my T3 low, my GP quite ignorant and an NHS Endo I saw last year (just so GP would give an increase in Levo!) discharged me after first visit before I’d even had the blood tests she recommended! Can anyone PM me and recommend a knowledgeable Endo who prescribes T3? I live
