Stories from a Hospital volunteer - "From major to minor"
Monday 6th December As some of you know, I occasionally write up a story or two from my Volunteering at a London Hospital, my role being a “Ward Musician.” But in Covid times I'm restricted to the use of a Blue-tooth speaker and the use of the Spotify App to search for patients’ musical requests. Why me?
So I’ve just watched Ambulance: Code Red on channel 5 and quite a lot of
accidents
that resulted in brain injury were featured on it.. it made me realise what the ambulance did for me on the night of my haemorrhage, and could relate to the brain injured people… only these people were involved in

Taking an anticoagulant (Apixaban) for the first time.
Has anyone had any serious bleeds as a result of taking Apixaban (excluding
accidents
like cutting yourself shaving)? 2. If you have, say, a cut on the leg or a tiny broken blood vessel in the nose (both if which I have) would it be possible to bleed heavily whilst asleep unawares? 3.

Period after MMC
Hi all my lovelies❤️ Hope everyone is doing ok x I had my MMC in August, took the pills and started bleeding September 2nd-11th. Only thing is my period still hasn’t arrived. I’ve tried calling my GP but it takes about two hours to get through and figured I could just ask on here if I should be worried

Mother & Son bonding whilst running
I absolutely love running with my adult son, finding the time to run early on a Sunday morning is just awesome. Its just a shame that it takes me (53 years old) at least 10 minutes to find my pace. We like to do 5k, today it was done in 37 minutes a pb for us both. I still find it a mental challenge

How long to wait for a tracheotomy
Hello. So my brother has been weaned off sedation abit. However he has been becoming distressed- not surprising as he has a tube down his throat and the nurses have told him where he is. He is still not fully unsedated - his partner is struggling as she showed him a picture of their daughter but he was

Extreme Dizziness and shaking.
Got up from the settee last night and had a really bad dizzy spell which lasted for an hour and came in waves of shaking and extreme panic and unable to walk for fear of falling down. Settled down and feel normal this morning. Phoned for ambulance then cancelled when I felt better. Tested positive for

Brother due a tracheostomy
Hi. So update is that my brother is due a tracheostomy but will have to be last in theatre as he is in a covid ward. Apparently one of the nurses slightly reduced his sedation and he was following her around the room with his eyes. She then put his partner on the phone and she was talking to him and

Update on ablation
Hello all, it was a long day yesterday but am feeling ok this morning, it wasn’t as scary as I had told myself it was , sedation was great didn’t remember anything apart from the hiccuping at the end. I’m not sure what to expect now , when are the migraines going to kick in or do only some people get

C/L question
I have read many times that C/L is the gold standard for PD. I have also read many times on this forum, others remarking that they feel wonderful, normal again and that they have their life back after taking it. I want to feel normal and have my life back too ☹️ So, I bit the bullet and started C/L immediate

Bloody discharge - is it copper coil?
Unusual bloody discharge/spotting I have had bloody discharge for 4 days now. My period finished last week so its not that. I can't see gp until Friday and I'm getting very worried. I have a copper coil that was inserted over a year ago, could this be the problem? Most info says a few months after

I understand
accidents
, I have done it several times myself, but as "YOU" can read I obviously lived through all of them. Always keep this in mind, SELF HARM IS NOT THE ANSWER, it never is. Live long, live fully.
