Tuff Nutt is back with lots of questions!
I take lasix every other day and it is a bummer cause I have to take before
abiraterone
and prop my feet up too hours. Oncologist nurse says I can take
abiraterone
an hour afterwards, then wait another hour for protonix which requires 30 minutes before food. It’s 930 to 10am before I can eat.

Zytiga issue solved…
A big thank you to all who weighed in on whether I should take a lesser dose of
abiraterone
with food or just go without for a few days…….when I called my insurance company and got to talk to someone who gave a hoot it was discovered that a new pre-Auth was NOT needed…….10 or more phone calls later

abiraterone instructions
just started
abiraterone
and note conflicting instructions for dosing…….MO instructions are 1 hour before food 2 hours after( makes sense for empty stomach)…..Monograph that came with meds states 2hours before food 1 hour after….how are most of you who are on it taking it?

Which treatment option best for recurrent oligo?
An amazing 39 months radiographic Progression Free Survival for this combo for the BRCA+, vs 14 months for Olaparib alone and 8 months for
Abiraterone
alone, makes this appealing in my eyes.

considering stopping adt/abiraterone to see what happens
it’s been 8 months since I found myself to have a PSA of 70, it is now 0.0 and I am due for the ADT injection. I have coupled standard treatment with rife, mushrooms, ivermectin, fenbendazole, apricot seeds, green tea, vit e, graviola. What is the feeling on the board here should I see if the alternative

Abiraterone + Olaparib: ASCO GU 2024 Highlights: BRCAAway Trial
"Highlighting the trial's results, he notes the combination therapy significantly extended median radiographic progression-free survival to 39 months, far surpassing the outcomes with either treatment alone. Abiraterone side effect
Even though this is one of the listed side effects of
abiraterone
my oncologist says that she has never heard of it happening before. Has anyone here ever had this experience and, if so, was there a remedy for the cough or an alternative to the
abiraterone
?

Still Frustrated
The other doctor wants to start me on
Abiraterone
, then Lupron for 2 years, then 6 weeks later radiation for 5-8 weeks. But right now the meds are being held up by some insurance technicality on the doctor’s end. So bottom line is I’ll probably get the right treatment soon.

Curcumin Interactions with Abiraterone
Curcumin has so many good benefits that would help to cope with ADT side effects. Does Curcumin interefers with ADT (Lupron+Zytiga)? Does anyone taking Curcumin while on Hormone Therapy? Please, share the information. Thank you.
