ALP AND RADIUM 223
However his PSA has continued to rise and has doubled over the last 3 months since he stopped
abiraterone
. The oncologist says if it increases again next month after his third radium treatment then he will send my husband for a scan.

Should I sell and retire with PSA at 0.1 following 9 months undetectable?
Triplet therapy with ongoing goserelin and
abiraterone
with prednisone.
Abiraterone
is once per day with a low fat meal. Following nine months of undetectable PSA results, I recently received the news that my PSA is no longer undetectable and is now at 0.1.

Introduction and asking for help interpreting latest scan results and thoughts on future treatment plan please.
Current recommended treatment plan is Lupron shots, either
Abiraterone
acetate along with Prednisone or Enzalutamide. Also have a consultation with the radiation oncologist scheduled for next week. Thoughts and opinion on treatment plan very much appreciated?

Long term ADT bone loss mitigation tips?
I am on Lupron and
abiraterone
4 months now. I am taking 1000mg of calcium per day and 2000IU of D3 per day. If I am lucky enough to last years, what else can I do to prevent the loss of bone? Thanks -

PSA now undetectable with 2 of 35 radiation treatments left.
I will start
Abiraterone
next week, in addition to the Lupron I’m currently on. I’m celebrating today’s victory and wanted to share here. Of course, many days have been consumed with worry over the unknown. This group has been so helpful to get through all of that.

Tuff Nutt is back with lots of questions!
I take lasix every other day and it is a bummer cause I have to take before
abiraterone
and prop my feet up too hours. Oncologist nurse says I can take
abiraterone
an hour afterwards, then wait another hour for protonix which requires 30 minutes before food. It’s 930 to 10am before I can eat.

What clinic trials have been successful?
He was put on
Abiraterone
along with Prednisone 4 months ago. PSA is rising each month. So Oncologist said two options left, a clinical trial she is trying to get him in at Princess and hospital or Chemo. She hopes a trial is available and if he qualified for it that would be the next step.

False positives
"PARP inhibitor +
abiraterone
not needed and very toxic". Whack-a-mole is the philosophy and that is how the clinic makes its money. A video consultation with a second opinion told me it was not certain it was cancer recurrence and advised me to put all treatment on wait which I did.

Abiraterone Alone
Anyone tried
abiraterone
alone for HSmPCa? I’m just off a medication holiday and having trouble getting orgovyx.

options after Docetaxel
He put him back on
Abiraterone
which did not work at all. After 3 weeks his PSA is 151. I am not happy with the oncologist but with an HMO you are limited. Now his oncologist wants him to do Pluvicto and if not then do Cabizataxel. Are there other options we should look into?

Still Frustrated
The other doctor wants to start me on
Abiraterone
, then Lupron for 2 years, then 6 weeks later radiation for 5-8 weeks. But right now the meds are being held up by some insurance technicality on the doctor’s end. So bottom line is I’ll probably get the right treatment soon.

Apparently it’s meant to follow-up on drugs such as
Abiraterone
and Xtandi once they have failed. I’m curious if anyone here is participating in the trial — phase1/2–and if anyone has any information outside of the press release. Thanks so much, Elisa

Taste Issues and finger neuropathy on Xtandi( enzalutamide) ?
Previously on
abiraterone
. Did really well on both medications. Now 4 months on enzalutamide and my 5th research infusion, I'm experiencing some side effects. Trying to determine if they are a result of the medication or the infusion.

Zytiga issue solved…
A big thank you to all who weighed in on whether I should take a lesser dose of
abiraterone
with food or just go without for a few days…….when I called my insurance company and got to talk to someone who gave a hoot it was discovered that a new pre-Auth was NOT needed…….10 or more phone calls later

Abiraterone edema management
One of the fun things I am getting as an SE while on lupron/
abiraterone
/prednisone is fluid retention. Edema and getting up to pee 3-4 times nightly (losing 3-4 lbs of weight during the night.) What if anything can be done about this?
