His oncologist is willing to go straight to
abiraterone
(I understand there is no evidence for this, but it seems like a sensible thing to do. What do you guys think? For those in favor, any opinions on abi v enzalutamide? I know on paper he has responded well to treatment thus far.

A Liitle Good News on a Monday
Hey brothers just noticed that generic
Abiraterone
Acetate has been added as a choice on the Medicare website. While not yet a windfall price reduction its at least a step in the right direction! Best wishes to all for an awesome painfree week with zero hot flashes.

Cost of abiraterone acetate
Hello - I heard this is now available in generic form ( Zytiga ) --- questions: If I needed to take this medication at some point: Is that true, its generic in the U.S? What is the cost? - I have a Medicare Advantage plan Can I buy additional Part D coverage in anticipation of a potential need for it

1. Price of abiraterone / Zytiga in UK (private prescription) 2. NICE decision for abiraterone in hormone sensitive PC
We are trying to understand if privately funded
abiraterone
is a realistic and worth it option, instead of docetaxel. Am aware of the CHAARTED and STAMPEDE results.

PSMA Scan and HU Altered my Treatment Plan
I have sent an email to my MO asking for
abiraterone
to be added to complete the ADT treatment. I am not confident that my MO will allow the
abiraterone
but am hopeful. Will then have 33 or so radiation sessions to the all pelvic lymph nodes.

Looking for suggestions
Study involves Lupron,
Abiraterone
, Prednisone and Apalutamide for six months, then RP. I have always exercised, 3-4 times a week, with both light cardio and weights. Have now stepped up to 5-6 per week. Other than this damn PCa, I'm in excellent health. So far side effects have been minimal.

Positive doxetaxel
I would really like him to have
Abiraterone
/Zytiga but it isn't available as a first line HT in the UK. All the positive stories I read are from people receiving this (although I know not guaranteed). It is only given down the line.

Dutasteride [Avodart] & Abiraterone [Zytiga]?
This would be consistent with recent data indicating that an
abiraterone
metabolite, Δ4-
abiraterone
(D4A), is metabolized by 5α-reductases."

weight gain, ADT and diet
Although some of it is due to fluid retention (listed as a possible
abiraterone
side effect). I have noticed much loss of muscle and strength, but for me exercising is difficult now because of the severe neuropathy caused by the chemo, which is not going away. That leaves diet changes.
