Clinical trial - abatacept / mix
Abatacept
is currently only licensed to be given further down the line with RA (at least with the NHS). I look forward to any comments.

I am on Methotrexate and
Abatacept
and this coming Friday my son is getting married and my parents are due to come and stay with me on Wednesday, they are now extremely worried about doing so and are worried it may compromise me in someway, he's been given treatment for it and by Wednesday will be 5

Orencia infusions,
I have now received three loading doses of
Abatacept
(Orencia). This is a T cell inhibitor. I also seem to have developed a restricted artery in lower part of my heart. Consequently, the cardiologist added a drug to lower cholesterol and a drug which lowers blood pressure.

Frustration.
ABATACEPT
, this will happen after I have healed from surgery (planned for 2 weeks). I've previously used Cimzia and tocilizomab both with good results but horrific side effects. Has anyone got experience of
abatacept
.

New Research from USA about drugs and GCA-- some of this s quite technical but a lay person should be able to follow the gist.
"It is a smaller study than the GiACTA trial, and it is uncertain where
abatacept
will fit in as a potential steroid-sparing agent for treatment of GCA," Dr Matteson said.

Blood Pressure
Hi All, After a few months of being on
Abatacept
my blood pressure had gone up very high for me as I'd always suffered from it being very low. The nurse at my doctors thought it was because of the Menopause as I was having severe hot flushes too...

At last!..my flare has finally abated
Plans are for me to come off mtx if and when the
abatacept
kicks in. Not sure what will happen if I don't go on
abatacept
though as my recent chest x-ray showed increased markings on my lungs which rheumy think might be RA related.

, adalimumab, etanercept and tocilizumab should be available on the NHS within 3 months of the guidance being issued.

Fatigue
I have
abatacept
weekly injections. I've been back at work for 2 months following an absence of 6 months. I've suffered from fatigue before but this seems to be getting worse. I've reduced my work to 3 days but seemingly hasn't improved this.
