How it's going

Started week 2 of s and f today. I start off down our lane with the walk and warm ups, aiming to be back in the garden for the rest. I can hide behind our shed (!) for the standing press ups, and wander around the garden for the rest (hiding if necessary because I'm not at the stage yet of not caring what people think!!).

I'm really enjoying this, I find Laura's voice and tone just right. Pairing it up with the c25k (am on week 3) is working well, something to do each weekday. My arms ache, even though I swim once a week too, I guess it's using different muscles?

The only negative to all this is that I'm spending far too much time since starting these podcasts reading all the blogs and looking at other running web sites....am I becoming addicted??

Hi petal51

The muscle soreness in your arms is probably DOMS - delayed onset muscle soreness. This muscle soreness is most frequently felt when you begin a new exercise programme.

DOMS is a normal response to unusual exertion and is part of an adaptation process that leads to greater stamina and strength as the muscles recover and grow.

S&F works great with C25K but it also works well for people who for whatever reason, don't run.

How are you managing with the pull-ups? Where are you doing them?
