I have just started W1 R1 and had planned to do S&F alongside like Laura suggests. How do you fit all that in? Do you do 1 run, then 1 SF, then 1 rest day? Would that be too much too soon?

Most people do the C25K and S&F on alternate days. Of course, you can do them on the same day if you're feeling energetic!
Hi Beek, I usually do 1 day run and 1 day S&F. It doesn't interfere with your rest day as its different muscle groups you are using.....so you are resting your running muscles. Both C25K and S&F are great programmes. Good luck with the rest of W1 you have done the hardest part....getting off the couch! Enjoy the programme and let us know how you are doing
I see how it works. The hardest part at the moment is getting up and down the stairs - my front thigh muscles are very painful! Not put off though. My diabetes clinic nurse today is really pleased I am doing this.
Thank you fitness Editor. This programme is excellent and the support blogs most helpful and encouraging. A lot of the general population are ignorant of how we can help ourselves to be fitter. It surprises me that the programme is not pushed more on TV shows to do with weight etc. Too much emphasis is put on what we consume rather than how much exercise we take. Judging by C5K we need a great deal more than we think. A BIG thank you for your helpful advice!
