I’m just dropping the February collective mat for both yoga and Pilates.

I know that some of us coming from the 30-day YWA journey are keen to keep going and this mat may help.

So feel free to report back by reply on how you are getting on.

★ FIRST, for our yoga fans: YWA calendar:

yogawithadriene.com/calendar/

★ SECOND, weekly session or even live sessions for our Pilates fans

youtube.com/@TheGirlWithThe...

And just head the Community tab to find her weekly planner with lists of workouts. The workouts will be in the playlists marked for the week and month.

So feel free to reply to this post when you do one of these workouts. We’d love to hear how you found it.

And our general guidance is below:

If you are just joining us, big WELCOME to you and any new Virtual Workout Buddies! A short daily practice of Yoga or Mat Pilates is perfect to get some S&F into your day. But if you are looking for something else, here is a nice welcome post to invite you to the many S&F opportunities here on the forum: healthunlocked.com/strength...

And feel free to - as Adriene says - “find what feels good”, meaning if your knees feel too sensitive, amend that Child’s Pose. And if you find full planks are the stuff of nightmares, rather do half planks than full ones. Do whatever feels right to get the maximum enjoyment from these daily sessions. And definitely get creative with props.

Upwards, crow-wards and down dog-wards another months practice!

(Save this post to get notified of any updates from everyone here on the mat.)

Happy working out everyone!

Yesterday was a mile stone for me..... I applied for my senior bus pass..& joined a pilates class at Age UK . Never done pilates before but thought I'd give it a go. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be but I enjoyed it & am going back next week Then I read your post about yoga/pilates, bit of a coincidence, I will definately give the pilates a go.Hopefully I will get back into running too, I really hope so.

I'm off to a good start this month. I've never done one of Adriene's monthly calendars, and I'm quite looking forward to it. I've decided to swap some around to fit the time I have available and what I have one. So far I did Head and Heart Reset yesterday, which was a perfect start to the day, where I worked 12 hours after. Today I did Detox and Reset, which was a nice mix of flow, core, hip stretches (good as I also went for a run). Moving from a twist in chair to a twisted low lunge was a challenge though!

That sounds brilliant! I’m still catching up with the January calendar so haven’t even begun to think about February yet! I need a Time Machine!

Fabulous stufff! Well done!

oh yeah, just had a peek at the “twist in chair to a twisted low lunge”! Well done, for that one!!!

Definitely worth finishing January! Honestly though if I had a time machine I'd use it for something other than yoga!

I wasn't exactly successful in the twisted chair --> lunge, but gave it a shot!

Just finished the 30 days a couple of days behind but we did it as hubby joined in too and is keen to continue !! But he looks aghast when she suggests a 45/minute session 😂 but I’m going to find him some simple daily one s that he can achieve 🤞🏻

Well done for completing the 30 days! Sessions longer than 30 minutes (or sometimes even 25 minutes) can seem like lot! But there are lots of 20nminute ones you (and he) can do!
