Well, I've completed 5 weeks, it's taken me more than six weeks to do, due to a virus that saw me take a few days off...
Almost half way, anyone still on it?

I didnt even start it ☹️ so well done for keeping going
well done!!!!
How do you feel you’re progressing?
Pretty good! I can feel a difference to my core, and my posture is better, so all round improvement really. The main thing is, because I have this little programme to do every day I'm adding on a bit of other strength work too. Not much, usually about 10 minutes a day, squats, curls etc, but it's making a difference. I've felt really feeble since my thyroid problems, it takes your muscles away doesn't it? I found it did anyway.
That sounds great! Well done.
Yeah, I hope you get your dosage right, as it should make a difference when you are correctly medicated. But although that sounds so easy, between your own body, mind, fluctuating blood indicators, seasonal metabolism interactions, and then NHS GPs prescribing practices, I find that’s one of the most difficult things to get right!
I was under the Endocrine dept at my hospital, they say my dose is correct, and have told me to speak to my GP even though last thing I heard, the GP was not allowed any input as I was under the hospital... sigh....it goes round in circles, like my symptoms!
I'm seeing the GP next week, it's someone I don't know (it's a big practise) so I don't really hold out much hope, my levels are normal blah blah etc...
Actually, I feel ok most of the time, it's mainly my energy just dribbling away when I'm running that gets me mad.
I’m on the Thyroid forum here and there’s an opinion that even endocrinologists don’t know much about thyroid problems…they’re mostly diabetic specialists!
Why don’t you post your results on the forum and see what they say? The question is what is ‘normal’ for you…
healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
I didn't get on too well on this forum, but thank you Lottie....I'm seeing the GP next week, so we'll see what they say... seems to me even if someone on a forum says my meds are wrong, if my docs don't agree it won't help me...
Well that is true…
…I’m just thinking if your results are on the lower end of ‘normal’, then that may be something you can use in your discussion with the GP.
I’m assuming you feel you’re under medicated…that’s the usual problem with GPs.
Good luck next week x
Thank you, no, I'm slap bang in the middle of normal, I wish they were lower...I was told by the prescribing consultant (ENT) that my TSH should be as near to 1 as possible, it's gone up to nearly 3...sadly, he referred me on to Endocrine.. I'm prepared to ask for a second opinion, but I don't really think quoting a layman will help, thanks all the same. I've got a list of symptoms, I hope that will do!
Hopefully the upwards trend of your TSH…and your symptoms will be enough. Maybe this will be the GP in the surgery that actually listens to their patients! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
I'm sorry, I hope I didn't come across as sharp, or ungrateful for your advice. I've actually already left the HU thyroid forum, and the Facebook one too, where someone gave me a severe telling off for following the advice of my specialist doctor rather then her advice...I love this forum here for running, but I feel fora for medical issues are not terribly useful at best, and dangerous at worst.
I'll keep you posted on what happens next week xxx
No problem…No offence taken!
I’m not on there much, I use it to remind me what I should be looking for in my results, and the best way of prepping for blood tests.
I’ll probably be having my own battle soon…repeat bloods next week after 8 weeks at the first increase of dose since starting 3.5 years ago!
You can dm me…I’d be interested in how you get on, and we’ve drifted somewhat from the exercise subject 😬
