never done weights

hi I want to start using weights but don’t want to pack on the muscles. So far I do hiit workouts 2 and or three times a week and run or cycle on the other days. Is there a good dumbbell to start with that adds a little variety without making me look like a wrestler? Maybe it’s a vain question idk but I just don’t want to have bigger arms.

If you do low weight and more repetitions, you’ll be toning rather than putting on bulky muscle . So you should be ok with dumbbells.

I use two apps for workouts, including dumbbells:

Fiton - has free workouts, and you can search for equipment and dumbbells . It’s based on videos you follow along to within the app. It’s really good, I find. I have it on IOS but I think it’s available on Android as well.

The other app I have used here and there is “Stark Dumbells” . It costs ca 5 UK pounds, but it is worth it. You can put together your own workout, also from choosing muscle groups, and you’ll have a voice counting down and picture guidance of what comes next. Again, I have it on IOS, so not sure it’s available on Android, but worth looking for.

In the pic, left and middle are Stark Dumbbells. Right is FitOn.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on!
