One thing this week

As I am reading through the replies to the personal markers I see that we are all having a similar issue to the things we don’t deep down want to do even though we know it is good for us. For me it is bit of stretch work. If I can avoid it I will. I know it is one of the best things for me and I can do it I a little bit of time compared to some of my other training it is a doddle to fit in at home, but saying that do I do it every week, No I don’t most times I would rather go out for. A 2km walk instead. For the last three weeks leading up to my HM I did it 2-3 times every week because my physio was keeping an eye on me and now I’m back to trying my best to avoid it

So I thought we could try a different motivation for June. Add in one thing for the week you know you should do but don’t like. Let’s all try and push our comfort zones a bit. It is a weekly challenge so you can change what you want to do each week. We will put a post up each week and all you have to do is tell us what it is your attempting this week and keep us informed on how you got on with it.

Good luck

My just one thing has to be to just keep going every day. I have been with my Dad for a few days and it is really challenging to keep going with my move everyday. I have had to go for little walks in breaks of helping my Dad out. Today will be easier as I am going to his gentle exercise session for the over 50’s. He is doing well for over 80. He goes to two a week and has an exercise bike at home. 😀. Have a good week everyone. Rfc x

Squats week was ok... but not going to miss it 🤣

This week I’m going to dust off the bike and go for a ride... really don’t like it, hence the dust, but I know it can help me go car free for a week soon, which I’d love to do.

Hi, I'm going to try planks as an extra...

Saw the Magic 10 folk will be doing them and I think it will be good for me too.

Good luck all 😊xx

I'm disappointed with myself that I can't keep up a strength and flex plan. I do a couple of minutes of stretching after a run and a Pilates class but that's it. I want to use an app on my phone to remind me of doing some stretching and strengthening and balance exercises. Anyone have any ideas? I'm on holidays this week so I commit to doing some balance exercises and stretching every day - OK - here i go...

Hi there, welcome to the S&F forum. we are all in the same sort of boat here. Most of us know we have to do more or keep going but sometimes it is just easier to go out for a run or something instead. Here is the link to this weeks, Just one thing, balance and stretches sound perfect to get you going. Rfc x
