'If at first you don't succeed - try, try and try again'

Thought this might inspire anyone who thinks crow pose is impossible, just as I did when I first came across it at the end of last year!

This is the best still taken from a video; there's room for improvement and I can't hold it that high for long but it's leaps ahead of where I was when I first tried it (note the well placed cushion, I'm not out of the woods yet ๐Ÿ˜).

That looks pretty good Linda, as you say 'keep on trying'

PS, no way can I do that, I have been "trying " that for the last 10 minutes, lol. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I've been trying a few minutes every day for most of this year! Don't despair. Just keep at it ๐Ÿ™‚

Woo hoo! Brilliant! Itโ€™s one of those poses that you just have to keep chipping away at. I had one-to-one yoga instruction when I was in India for a month around a decade ago. That was the first time I ever managed it! Lost it for a while, but practising again. ๐Ÿ‘

Keep in flying, lovely Linda!

One to one in India sounds amazing! I have watched a few videos and read a few articles and slowly, slowly found myself getting there. My first breakthrough was after listening to a guy who talked about 'compacting your shoulders'. Then someone talked about moving your head forward rather than down. And finally I picked up a cue about drawing up your core to raise the legs. It's quite the thing!

It really is quite the thing! Basically every part of your body (and your breath) comes in to play.

Practising yoga in India was a game changer for me (and so cheap I could afford daily lessons!) x

Wow! Wonderful! Not sure I managed to breathe as well though. That must be advanced ๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ˜ I'm so impressed Linda, just shows what can be achieved with practise.

Inspiring! Not sure I would ever have the strengh to do that๐Ÿ˜†xxx

Didn't think I had either BB! Since starting daily yoga in November, I have noticed a real difference in my arm strength - still not 'strong', but they were absolutely pathetic before and now they're less pathetic ๐Ÿ˜. Like many balances, if you can get into the right position it reduces the load too. Not sure I've got it right, but I've got it better ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Brilliant Linda! Youโ€™re flying alright, that looks amazing. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

It felt amazing - especially after so many wobbles and nose dives ๐Ÿ˜. Some nights when I try I can't even get both feet off the ground!

I agree! I can only fly for a short time too, and itโ€™s not as high as yours - but it feels fantastic on the rare occasion it happens. ๐Ÿ˜€

I'm going to keep at it and see if I can get steadier - maybe even lose the cushion ๐Ÿ˜จ

I came across this pose the other day. I thought not even attempting that. Youโ€™ve made me think I should have a go ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Honestly. That was me in November. It seemed utterly impossible. It's not snd it's a fab feeling getting there. All I have done is practice little and often - probably just a couple of minutes a day ๐Ÿ‘
