I didn’t swim this week.

The plan was to have a couple of swims and limited running until the end of the week, but I opted for a couple of walks and a stretch session instead and a very gentle run today.

The good news with doing move everyday I am forcing myself to be more realistic in what I can achieve without injury because I know I’m going to be doing something I am more likely to take the intensity down when needed rather than just ploughing through.

A new skill for me. 😂😂😂.

Have a great weekend everyone

As part of my Strength and Flex excersise programme, yesterday to celebrate my 73rd birthday I started the Stepping Stone +C25K podcasts with Laura, it went quite well, ten minutes of 150 steps a minute, fifteen minutes of running at 155 steps a minute and finally 5 minutes of running at 160 steps a minute, next week it will be +C25K Speed with Laura, I listened to the Podcast sitting at home as a preview, it's shorter than the first one, it varies from 150 steps a minute to 165 steps for 1 minute. 😊 🏃

I’ve only done the speed one, when I’m back up to scratch I might have a go with the stepping stones one. 😀. Happy Birthday, hope you had a great day. Rfc x

Thanks for the birthday wishes, yes I certainly had a great birthday yesterday, Oldfloss even sang 🎶 happy birthday to me on the post I sent telling her that I celebrated my birthday by running that Stepping stones podcast as her reply to me.

Hehe running and exercising is definitely teaching this old dog new tricks 😀.. I’m thinking of going for a swim Bank Holiday Monday, just hoping it’s not too full, I find that if I swim on a Monday it makes for a great week. Rfc x

I guess it's going to depend how the weather is on Monday. Hopefully it's not too full and u can enjoy it. I need to do more exercising as I'm just running atm. I'm going to have a look at the strength and flex group on here (for some reason I thought u had posted on c25k lol having a blonde moment ;) ) And see what advice I can take from it. Especially with having abit more free time come mid June as I'll have finished my college courses for summer.

I think your new skill is the most important one for us to have in the bag. This week it made me abort my first 10k attempt, and I nailed it the next time out feeling great. The body really tells us a lot and if we listen well we will achieve more in the long run.
