Anyone taking a biologic like Humira, entyvio, or Lialda or stelara?
I have ulcerative colitis with inflammation of the cecum that may be due to lupus or meds. Not really sure. I’m advised to take something similar to one of the drugs questioned to reduce inflammation. I have ckd 3b and don’t want to make it worse. Trying to determine which is better.

Living with Crohn's over 30 years
I have tried 3 biologicals Cimzia, Humira and
Stelara
, while also taking 6MP on the Cimzia. The first 2 stopped helping me and the
Stelara
made me catch 4 viruses in a 5 week period. I am done with biologicals, besides i dont trust them and stress about cancer while on them.

Humira possibly Stelara?
I’m wondering if switching to
stelara
would be a good option? Although I do know that humira is most effective as a blanket for a lot of inflammatory diseases, and
stelara
is more aimed to deal with psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis, but it could be an option do discuss with your rheumatologist.

Which biologic should I pick?
I am suppose to be deciding if I want to go on
Stelara
, Tremfya, Cosentyx, or the other two DMARDs. Has anyone tried any of these. I seem to always leave my appointment with regrets on not asking enough questions. It is an awful feeling and it keeps happening.

Sweet Syndrome Associated With Crohn’s Disease Developed After a Combo Therapy With Infliximab and Azathioprine
Patient responded well to interleukin inhibitor (anti IL-12, IL-23), ustekinumab (
Stelara
). It targets the two proteins IL-12 and IL-23, which are produced in the body to help fight infections by temporarily causing inflammation.

Venetoclax and Stelara
Just putting it out there if anyone has been on Venetoclax for their CLL and
Stelara
for Ulcerative Colitis at the sametime? Or can anyone recommend medication for Ulcerative Colitis while taking Venetoclax?

Anyone with Calprotectin level higher that 6000?
Then he was switched over to
Stelara
and his levels came down to about 5000 after 6 months. It went back to >6000 again and he is going to start Entyvio as soon as we get approval from the insurance. What I actually want to know is if there is anyone who had Calprotectin levels this high.

Scared to start Leflunomide
I’m on
Stelara
but the COVID vaccine rendered it basically useless. And I don’t have another shot for 2 months. So right now they are pumping me full of steroids and diuretics (I have full body edema right now). But he wants to go after this with a sledgehammer and add Leflunomide.

Vaccine Side Effects?
I’m taking
Stelara
(immune suppressant), but there’s no info on how the vaccine and biologics/DMARDS interact. Also, I only know 2 ppl in my age group (40-55) who *didn’t* get worse than expected side effects. Some of the stories are borderline bizarre.

Most Inflammatory Disease Patients on Immunosuppressants Mount a Response to the COVID-19 Vaccine (But Can Vary a Lot by Medication)
IL-12/23 or IL-23 inhibitors include such therapies as
Stelara
, Tremfya, and Skyrizi; integrin inhibitors include Entyvio. The other good news was that combining therapies, such as taking methotrexate along with a TNF inhibitor, did not have an additional reduction on antibody levels.
