Anyone taking a biologic like Humira, entyvio, or Lialda or stelara?

I have ulcerative colitis with inflammation of the cecum that may be due to lupus or meds. Not really sure. I’m advised to take something similar to one of the drugs questioned to reduce inflammation. I have ckd 3b and don’t want to make it worse. Trying to determine which is better.

The problem with biologics is that what works for me may not work for others. I was on Humeri and it almost killed me. They thought I was having heart issues... nope, it was Humeri. I have been on over 11 biologics in the past 15 years. I loved Stelara. That was the best one for me. I administered it myself.. Now that I am over 65 and on Medicare, I have a much more limited choice of drugs. I was on Orencia for almost 4 years and now on Remicade. It is not great. Medicare thinks that since I am over 65 that I have to have an infusion instead of just a shot.

Thx so much for your experiences. I saw Stelara was safe enough for kids and thought it might be best choice. I don’t like the idea of taking any.

I have Crohn's disease as well as ESRD. My Gastroenterologist tried Humira first and it wasn't effective. Now I am on Skyrizi and it's definitely helping.

Thx. You’re the second to inform me about Humira. Do you have side effects with Skyrizi? Is it infusion or needle?
