I have sickle cell disease but have been getting by with life so far. I recently turned fifty and experiencing frequent crisis. I linked this to be due to menopause. I don't know what else to do other than take pain killers prescribed by my doctor. anyone else going through this?

Hello, sadly this happened to me too. Any hormonal changes can adversely affect many underlying health conditions, including sickle cell. I would just encourage you to eat as healthy a diet as possible, to keep well hydrated and to exercise. It's tough on us and that sickle cell pain is the worse. Best wishes to you

Thanks for your response. Looks like there’s little to do.
