Have SCT and Just searching for answers

Hello,

I'm 62 but I've had a series of medical issues and after some constant research, none of my doctors have ever attributed the issues from SCT or my hematologist flat out denies there's no correlation.

My history is this:

Age 11: Diagnosed with SCT (Inherited from my father)

Age 11/12: Had severe cluster migraine headaches for several years, prescribed medication

Age 36: Diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes (no longer on meds as of May 2023) - dietary changes

Age 38(2000): Stroke (ischemic) with some issues affecting the right side of my body. Doctors could not find the cause

Age 46(2008): Suffered a pulmonary embolism (blood clot) in my right lung

2013: Diagnosed with CKD, stage 3 also HBP (off meds since May 2023 due to dietary changes) Not on dialysis

2014: Diagnosed with venous insufficiency (pain with blood flow in my right leg) Sometimes I still have terrible cramping in both legs and behind the thighs.

2017: Diagnosed with a blood plasma disorder (MGUS) Dr calculates I've had this approx 12 yrs

I did read in some medical journals that CKD can be linked to SCT but with all these other blood-related issues I feel there has to be a connection. Just want to know so I can be properly treated.

Hi

Sorry to hear of all your health issues

I too have sct and stage 3 ckd never prescribed meds for it though I am in the uk

I believe food is a major factor and mindset, believing these many we have sets us up for thinking we are poorly .. Dr Yahki awakening on YouTube is amazing

Obviously dna 🧬 has a factor and some things we cannot change ..

I am thanking God your still here with us considering your health issues

Thank you for sharing. Yes since this post I’ve made some serious dietary changes. Conserved pre-diabetic since May 2023 so I feel it’s helped greatly along with the loss of about 80 pounds total. No longer on diabetes medication either and been consistently at Stage 4 CKD stable 2024.

But yes I definitely believe diet played a major role in maintaining our health. Thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely check out Dr. Yahki and best wishes to you in your health journey.
