Hi I was diagnosed with Primary Peritoneal Cancer stage 4b Sept 2020. My Ca125 was 16440. I also had 2 drains for fluid in the abdomen. After 3 rounds of Carbo/taxol I had responded really well and was able to have the debulking surgery on Xmas eve. This was successful and in Feb 2021 my scan showed No evidence of disease, then I was put on a maintenance drug Bevacizumab and will have my last one 16thFeb 2022. I'm also non BRAC. Feeling a little anxious now as not sure if it is the Bevacizumab keeping the cancer from returning. Was told I'm not curable but can be treated, and PPC is treated the same as Ovarian cancer. I have been taking a lot of comfort and hope from all you ladies and your stories on here. I don't see any posts from anyone who has PPC. Maybe my story will help someone just starting out on this journey.

Hello! I'm 46 years old Anu from Finland. I have been living with Ppc from 3/2017. It was high grade 4B -brca also. I had get many chemos about 90 times, 4 rounds. I have ileostomy. I feel very well, i can do what i want(gym, iceskating, biking and winter swimming😁) My life is so good, i thank God every day. No one knows about tomorrow🙏 Great hear that your first round has going well. Everything good for you❤️🙏
Hi Anu, it's wonderful that you are living well and keep responding to chemo. I'm 59 and you are the only lady I have found with the exact ppc and staging. I feel quite well and am able to do everything I want, but not on the same scale as you. You are quite right that tomorrow is never promised, and each day I just live in the moment. Hope you keep well Anita x
I was diagnosed with PPC in April, 2017. My CA125 was also over 16,000. I had an ileostomy that was reversed successfully in 2018. Debulking surgery (partial bladder, partial colon, inner/outer stomach lining, and complete hysterectomy) followed by 6 rounds of chemo. I am BRAC negative and not on any maintenance drugs. Besides neuropathy in feet and some bone pain, especially in hips, I am living my best life. Have been NED since chemo. I would say it took a full 2 years to start to really feel like myself again, and with my hair back, but there is light at the end of that tunnel. Best of luck to you and keep us posted as to your progress. This is a great site with ladies who totally understand the fight!
Thank you for your reply. It took me some time to come onto this site, and I'm glad I did now. When I was going through treatment in the hospital there were no other ladies that had what I had so I felt reallyScared and lonely at times. Can I ask what stage ppc you had, as I really thought I was done and dusted having stage 4b, but you ladies on here give me hope after reading what you have been through. I'm just waiting for my end of treatment scan and a chat with my oncologist in the next few weeks so keeping my fingers crossed for good news.
