hiya everyone I’m starting my 1st chemo tomorrow having carboplatin Paclitaxel and bevacizumab feeling very nervous. I had surgery and was told I had 3b MLA of the ovary can anyone give me advice what is is best to take with me and thing o help after chem thanks.

I had five line of carboplatin, Bevacizumab, zentabun. Noting helps. I will try 3-4 more and if it’s not change I will stop everything. I got very high doses ox chemo and I am so sick. please if someone has success with pleural effusion let me now to deceid to stop or continue.

I've been told all along that I will continue with Bevacizumab as a maintenance treatment (I've had 3 rounds of it alongside chemo, 2 before the surgery and 1 after). I caught COVID towards the end of treatment which has delayed getting started on maintenance.

Following this, she received 6 rounds of Doxorubicin + Bevacizumab, which kept her stable. However, she still has many carcinomatosis nodes in her abdominal area, and we are worried that this stabilization won't last long.

This was mentioned by my oncologist as an option for second line treatment. I’ve heard that it’s super expensive, but in searching for info’ it seems that some are finding it less expensive than it was. Does anybody have any experience of self funding avastin?

Chemo re-started received PLD + Bevacizumab till 03/05/2023. No improvement, CA125 rose from 44 to 85. Changed treatment to (Gemcitabine ( 1gm/m2)D1, D8 and Carboplatin AUC-5 -(150 mg). CA125 to 45.4 in Aug 2023.

So I am now going to have weekly sessions, with a third of one of the chemo drugs plus Bevacizumab, and the other chemo drug will be every 3 weeks. I can't remember which of the chemo drugs is going to be weekly, it was hard to take it all in, and the names were new to me!

Debulking surgery, then 6 cycles of taxol and Carboplatin - the latter 3 with bevacizumab. Followed by 18 months of Olaparib which then stopped working late last year.

I had my 1st chemo 2 Jan (carboplatin paclitaxel and bevacizumab) 8 hour infusion. I didn't know how I would react and although I had many symptoms, it was manageable.

This person will shortly be commencing 18 cycles of bevacizumab/ Avastin and is seeking to hear from people who have experienced this treatment please. They would like to know how people have felt on this treatment, what side effects people had and how it compared with chemotherapy.

I was lined up for a trial B96 for platinum resistant recurrent which included paclitaxol;Bevacizumab and pembrolizumab/placebo BUT I became so ill that I had to start on chemo immediately hence didn’t make it into the trial. I had 9 nights in Addenbrookes getting better.

I was offered Avastin / Bevacizumab last year, but they won't prescribe it again for recurrences on NHS. Does anyone know if there are any other drug trials / treatments available.

Good morning everyone, NICE are undertaking a Cancer Drugs Fund guidance review of Olaparib in combination with bevacizumab (Avastin) for maintenance treatment of advanced ovarian, fallopian tube and peritoneal cancer after response to first-line platinum-based chemotherapy with bevacizumab.

I suffered an immediate severe reaction to chemo drug Paclitaxel and had to have an antidote administered in order to recover.The other2 drugs were ok(Carboplatin & Bevacizumab). I was told that some ladies have this reaction but when they take this drug a 2nd time they have no problem.

My husband has just had his second infusion of Atezolizumab/Bevacizumab, and is feeling awful. The initial infusion caused fatigue and some sickness but he is now experiencing chills, a bad cough, sickness, lack of appetite. He feels if this reaction is repeated in future infusions he will stop.

I had chemotherapy and de-bulking surgery 18 months ago and then took Avastin (Bevacizumab) for 1 year maintenance afterwards and my CA125 levels came down to normal for 1 year.

This was successful and in Feb 2021 my scan showed NED, was then put on a maintenance drug Bevacizumab and will have my last one on the 16th Feb 2022. I'm also non BRAC. I'm feeling a little anxious now as not sure if it is the bevacizumab keeping the cancer from returning.
