Neuropathic pain in the limbs and neck

Hi, I'm 47. I'm from Bulgaria. Diagnosed in Nov 2019 with ovarian cancer, stage 3. Had surgery and chemo - Carboplatin and Paclitaxel. Now I'm on Bevacizumab. Next mount will be the last infusion. I have pain in my limbs and neck for months now. Sometimes I don't have the strength to stand on my feet. I can't bend my head to the sides. I attend yoga classes, but there is almost no relief. I know it's the result of chemo, but how long will it last?

Hi. I’m not a doctor and haven’t had bevacizumab myself but I know from this forum that pain in muscles and joints is a fairly common side effect so once you finish treatment you may feel better. Neuropathy is more often just feet and hands and that may not get better if it hasn’t yet. I hope you get some relief when you finish your maintenance treatment.

Aloha! So sorry that you have to deal with this. L-glutamine may help with joint pain and neuropathy. I use the Thorne brand because they use clean ingredients. If you have headaches from the Avastin, Fioricet and Maxalt can help. You can use them together if one doesn't work. They are non addictive. You can try a foot Tens machine to help with pain. Hope this helps!

Thank you, Canoer. My oncologist does not recommend massage in any form. Anything that results in the movement of lymph flow is not allowed. To avoid the transmission of cancer cells. That's why I haven't used TENS so far, and I think I wouldn't.
