Cat scan results show small growth, waiting for tumor testing to see if I qualify for clinical trials.

Hi Everyone,

I haven't written in a while, I just found out on Monday that the combination of paclitaxil and Avastin worked to shrink my tumors in the first 3 months of re-occurrence but during the last 3 months there has been some growth and my gyn-oncologist is having my tumor tested to see if I am eligible for a clinical trial. I was surprised because I was feeling good except for some neuropathy side effects. I continue to stay positive but it is scary to think that the cancer is so smart to figure out a way to grow even with treatment that originally was working. Time to put on my gladiator costume and battle some more. I try to wake up each morning with gratitude in my heart and usually I succeed. It's hard to be in limbo waiting to hear what treatment is next. The trial involves Immunogen's mirvetuximab soravtansine. Has anybody been on a trial with this. If I don't qualify, I was told I might be put on Doxorubicin. I will write an update when I find out what is coming next. Bless all of you out there fighting this with me.

Do you know which clinical trails your doctor is considering?

One of the hardest thing about this disease is all the waiting - waiting for doctor appointments, waiting for test results, waiting to determine what the next steps are.

Best wishes,

Gwen
