I'm new here. I was diagnosed in 2013 with stage 3c Ovarian cancer. Went thru chemo, then total hysterectomy with a small section of colon removed, then more chemo. Came back in 2015,more chemo, off of it since end of 2015.Small area in liver involved, now have been on Avastin since 2016. Any one else on Avastin?

Hi Cjbloomq ! So glad you found us. There are definitely women here who have said they're on Avastin; I'm sure they'll write in, but just so you know you can also type "avastin" into the search box on the top right corner and it'll show all the times it's been mentioned. xoxo
Hi, yes I have just had number 12 of 18 Avastin treatments. It is a much easier regime than chemo, and apart from a few insignificant side effects, I feel well. Hope it goes well for you too.
Jenny
Hi Jenny, I too have side effects from Avastin. I am having issues with high blood pressure, somewhat under control as well as some mild kidney issues. The doc says he is trying to keep me off chemo as long as Avastin works. Just don't like having other issues spring up but I guess this is better than the chemo.I feel good otherwise. Good luck to you.
I am I was diagnosed 5/2014 went through IV and peritoneal chemo and a small stint on oral chemo in a trial. I was more sick with oral than anything, stopped that because it was too much for my family and I couldn't do that. My youngest was 8 at the time and he was my rock. God love him he would sit beside me throwing up and rub my back and tell me it would be ok. I went in remission almost a year and dag gone it 5/2016 it tried to come back. Chemo 6 month and we kicked it's butt again. Now on Avastin and playing with blood pressure and protein in my urine but God is with me and will get me through. I do get tired on Avastin and get those lovely little bumps in my mouth but I'm still here. I go every 3 weeks for mine.
