Great News. Scans Update.

Good morning ladies. I had my first Pet scan since starting Ibrance/Faslodex combo in December this past Monday. 6 months in and things are looking pretty good. Lots of decreased activity in the nodules. I have Pleura Mets.

I’m not as knowledgeable as many of you are on the terms and numbers, but I know a decrease. Thank you Jesus. And thank you ladies for this group and for being here for one another. Just wanted to share some positive news and to let you all know that God is Able. Here’s a summary of the scans.

Nodular thickening Upper left lobe

11/6/19- 1.5 cm in thickness Max SUV 24.7 “most intense”

05/18/20- 0.5-1.0 cm in thickness Max SUV 4.7

Left lower pleural nodule

11/6/19- 0.9 cm Max SUV 16.0

05/18/20- .9 cm Max SUV 5.7

Left medial pleural nodule

11/6/19- 2.6x2.3 cm Max SUV 17.5 “most extensive”

05/18/20- 1.5x1.2 cm Max SUV 3.9

Wow!! Phillipians4and6, these are amazing results!!! Much more dramatically improved than anything I've ever seen. Not only the reduction in size, but, OMG, an amazing reduction in HEAT (SUV)!!! 70-80% cooler, that's just awesome! If I were you, I would definitely be celebrating!

Having such a good response to meds is a great sign! You may do really well for a long time! I got over 9 years from Faslodex! And hit the 16 years with mbc this March. We are living longer and longer and you are off to a great start!
