did it start as a mouth sore!? Or are lips cracked and sore? If it was a mouth sore I recommend Muguard which works so well to heal and not get mouth sores. That sounds so painful. I used to get sunburned lips when I was a life guard out in the sun all day. Very painful.

I was on Ibrance for 6½years, initially I had a lot of mouth sores and very dry mucous membranes. You need to talk to your doctor about it just to make sure it's not an allergy situation.

Please ask your MD for a prescription for magic or miracle mouthwash. You can apply it on your lips and of course also use it as a mouthwash. It will numb the pain and also help to heal any lesions or inflammation. Insurance will probably not cover it and it is very expensive but worth every penny to relieve your suffering. It works.

I think this is what they prescribed to me for mouth sores because my insurance would not pay and there was actually no name on the prescription bottle containing the mouthwash which I found odd.

It says on my bottle "First Mouthwash BLM" It is manufactured by CutisPharma and is cherry flavor.

Can't help you with the mouth sores, but can feel very sorry you are going through this. Do talk to the nurse or doctor to get some help.

Cheers, June S.

So sorry you are having this issue. Haven’t heard about this side effect on lips. I take Ibrance too and after 2 years started getting sores on the roof of my mouth that take weeks to go away. I can recommend something for the pain though for external. I’ve gotten blisters from the sun in the past on my lips and nose and found relief with Hurricaine Gel. You can find on line and at some pharmacies. Talk to Onc about something that may help healing your lips but that Gel can help you to eat and deal with the pain. Please post if your Onc recommends something that may help others.

Bonjela gel helped me a lot with mouth sores but I'm not sure if it'll work for lips as well. In the end, I realized that the 100mg Ibrance dosage was causing the mouth sores and once it was lowered to 75mg, all the mouth sore issues disappeared.
