I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for your prayers during my scan time. I got my results yesterday, my bone scan did not show anything which was great but the ct picked up something in my liver, therefore another scan. My doc say he doesn’t see anything on the scan and my radiation doc said the same but mri just to be sure. I talked with my doc about what if, he say IV Chemo knock it out then back on hormonal treatment but I know that there are so many more treatments first before IV. Can some of you on this site tell me what are your treatments with liver Mets because I want to understand why I can’t do other treatments before IV Chemo. I am ER+HR+ HER2-. I know there are more treatments. Please your advice is really appreciated and needed. Please continue to pray for me. Thank you so very much!!!

Hi thereThis happened to me...developed liver mets and my oncologist wanted to start IV chemo which I was really against...some of you ladies suggested I ask about Xeloda...it’s chemo but in a pill form which can be adjusted dose wise...it has side effects like chemo but easier to manage at home and my hair hasn’t fallen out

My oncologist agreed to let me try it...sometimes I think they don’t consider other options and need suggestions from us

Good luck

I developed liver mets on Ibrance. I was then moved to everolimus and developed 2 more lesions in 90 days. Oncologist wanted to move to verzenio, but I asked for xeloda which he agreed to. First scan showed shrinkage of two lesions. One diminished. Pretty bad hand and foot syndrome and joint pain but positive results. Best of luck.

oh kduck Do not have any suggestions but am in your corner... Sending care prayer.

Hi Kimmie,

Thanks for the update. I have been thinking about you. That's good news about your bones being stable. I hope the MRI of your liver will put your mind at rest.

Like I mentioned to you the other day I had an MRI of my liver when something showed up on my CT scan back in 2018. It turned out to be haemangiomas and cysts, which are harmless. The other ladies have made some good suggestions in case you do need to change treatment. But try to just take it one step at a time for now. A change in treatment might not be necessary.

Take care, Kimmie!

Hiya my story's very similar to Barbteeth so I went on Xeloda & then had rfa to liver lesions & then clear scans for 5yrs on Letrozole. Xeloda caused paper cuts on fingers & blisters & cuts on feet, need to moisturise really well.
