Hi Ladies I am looking for some time lines to hair loss after treatment has started , after my second dose of Paclitaxel my hair started to thin and my scalp was tender . I thought I might as well shave it and get it over with . But it has quit falling out , I have had 4 doses of Paclitaxel and the stubble remains , I even had to shave my legs ?
Did I shave too soon ?
Luann , Ontario Canada p.s. sorry for the errors in post it is almost impossible to correct mistakes .
I had the same cocktail around 10 years ago now and I shaved my head before I started treatment. Since then I have been on numerous treatments due to to mbc .I have never had my hair thin like this before . My hair has no life or bounce in it. I'm considering shaving again
I had a similar combination, and almost shaved my head but didn’t, and was grateful....my hair was thin but presentable! The good news is that yours will keep growing now, I think!
I didn’t know if I should laugh or cry ? Insurance covered the wig or I would have been crying .
I wanted to make sure I posted so others might not act so quickly .
As for leg stubble, when I had my fist chemo in 2004, I would joke how unfair it was to be bald but still have to regularly shave my legs! My leg hair was much sturdier than the hair on my head! Go figure.
I would hope that in your situation you will have some modest hair growth. It might be patchy but hopefully it will be ok.
