Update on Ct scan result after new treatments of Paclitaxel,Pertuzumab , Trastuzumab .

CT scan results were very positive . I had scan on Feb 1 the oncologist called me today to say that she was really pleased with the results of the scan and suggested that I do 2 more treatments of the Paclitaxel and then continue with the Pertuzumab & Trastuzumab every 3 weeks .

I have completed 2 rounds so far and feel better than I have in 8 months . I still have a very laryngitis sounding voice and I my oncologist again today about a referral to see if it can be fixed . I want to talk again and not have to repeat everything I say . I love to talk lol .

I guess the moral to my story is .... just because it is IV a chemo and treatment does not always mean the side effects will be worse .

Congrats on a good scan. Chemo isn’t as bad as I thought it would be either. I know it depends on the drug but mine has been ok. Your flowers are lovely.

Thank you ,flowers help with my mental health so much . Not that I want to wish away my treatment options but I wish I had been switched 8 months ago . Even the 5 radiation treatments that made my throat so sore for about 2 weeks were worth it for how much they helped also . Hopefully I will get a few more years out of these treatments and feel well also .Are you on IV a chemo or pill form ?

Hi Luann: Nice picture. Spring. Glad to read your post this morning. I am looking at IV Chemo as I am not happy about taking Everolimus. I am not to happy about having a port put in but that is minor considering the whole picture.

Cheers, June S.

The port is uncomfortable for a day or two BUT a I am so glad I have it . I highly recommend it . I had a pic line 18 years ago and would also recommend that if you don’t want the port . But once healed the port is very easy and no worry if it gets wet . All the best to you June .

Such Great News!! I'm so Happy for You!!! I too hope this treatment goes a long way for you and that you have quality of life with it!! Love the flower arrangement I worked at a floral shop for years but the long hours at holidays where not fun. I would be so exhausted I couldn't enjoy the time with my family on the holiday. So I gave it up and went elsewhere. Take Care and celebrate🎉🎈🌷🌷🌷🌷🍀

in reply to Justme153

Hi , thank you for the well wishes . You are correct with the floral industry and holidays , it is a challenge at holidays to balance family . I was a 25 year owner & designer . But I miss the designing terribly and do some from my home studio for the last 2 years . I hoping this new treatment will have me feeling well enough to do some freelance work in a local flowershop .

Congrats! I was on Herceptin/Perjeta for 4 1/2 years....Side effects are near non existent...I used to go back to work afterwards....

in reply to Rhwright12

That is very encouraging. Thank you so much for sharing , I like to know the good and bad .

in reply to Rhwright12

May I ask what treatment you are in now ?

I’ve been moved to Kadcyla due to progression to brain. Kadcyla passes through the blood brain barrier. Projeta does not. So make sure u get your brain scanned once a year as your meds don’t cover it...😀

That is good to know , did you have any symptoms that it had spread to the brain ?
