Do people get antibiotics to take on holiday 'just in case' ? I go to Fuerteventura on Saturday and chemo nurse said I should have got some! Oops. Never occurred to me. Not going to the moon lol, I'm sure if I need them I can get them over there.
Anyone else had that advice?

My oncologist suggested that travelling with antibiotics is not advisable as if you started to take them and your symptoms did not improve this could make diagnosing the true cause of the fever/infection more difficult. She said they would prefer I seek medical attention for fever always to ensure it is treated accurately.
Yes, I brought some with me when we visited Sweden in May, just in case. We know if we have a UTI or something or get bronichitis, so it's good to have them and helps us avoid navigating a health system in another location.
I took a trip recently to Africa and my onc did prescribe antibiotics to take with me just in case. I think given the distance and medicine availability she wanted to make sure I had what I needed. Other than that I've never traveled with them.
