I’m still thinking. I have another appointment with my oncologist Feb 6. I’m going to talk more about it then. A nurse called yesterday to set up an appointment as it was approved by Medicare, must be expensive to get an approval first. She got upset with me as I told her I didn’t want it.
I think the pain I’m having is from the anastrozeole. I’ve had this same pain for almost a year and 2 steroid shots. I just don’t want to put pain on top of pain. I saw a pain management Dr and since I’m on Eliquis he can’t do anything. I have blood clots from flying in my lungs.
My radiologist ordered am MRI so maybe that will tell them something?
Thanks again for all your support, while I’m still thinking! 🥰

I think it is good you are waiting to make a decision and see what the MRI shows. Then after talking with your doctor you can make a more informed decision. Best wishes.
I hope you get some relief! I had to fight for my QOL( pain relief) to get put back on Celebrex after having to start Eliquis after a clot that was caused by an old port being left in. Celebrex is an NSAID but works by a different route than all the others. 🙏
Celebrex is an anti-inflammatory. I'm sorry I forgot exactly what you were working on. Eliquis has been greatly reduced in price for this year on my United HealthcareAARP Medicare plan, I pay an extra $38/mon for this advantage plan but Eliquis is now about $35/month supply!
that’s the plan I have and I went to pick it up and it was a 500 co pay? And a lot of my drugs my husband and I are getting through Mark Cubans website costplusdrugs.com. One drug I take was 38 a month and is $12 for three months on his website. Check it out. Eliquis is not on there yet! Thanks for your input, hugs
I use OptumRx for a 3 month supply shipped for a little over a hundred. I'm in NC, but Optum is out of California. The price dropped greatly this year! They made a phone call to me to let me know this as there is more competition for our pharmacy needs this year. Lots of new plans! Competition is a good thing!!
that’s great! I got a call the very same day the Dr called the Rx in to Walgreens and the very next day I got a call from Optumrx and they said I didn’t qualify. None of my drs contacted them, so how did they know? In the voice mail they said they would send a letter explaining why which I never received, it was very strange! Needless to say I am very frustrated. We live entirely on our SS, that co pay is our monthly grocery budget. Last week I went to the Dr office to sign assistance papers, no word yet. I do qualify for free Ibrance so it doesn’t make any sense. I may just quit taking the Eliquis.
