My Oncologists's Assistant saw me today due to a family emergency with my doctor. The Assistant was very nice this time, thank goodness! She was concerned about my bloodwork. Turns out I have a raging bladder infection, my WBC is down to 1, my magnesium and sodium levels are very low and I'm dehydrated! Go figure! So I'm off all meds except an antibiotic for a week. Explains the legs aching and why the extra magnesium I'm taking before bed helps. Other than that, I'm just fine! She also told me to forget rotator cuff surgery until I can get my WBC up - which she warned won't happen on my one day on, one day off Ibrance 100mg. dosage. So I'm babying my shoulder. My RA has been raging, but the magnesium helped that, too last night. It's all good!

Checkup w/low WBC & Bladder infection
I’m glad the assistant was concerned and addressed your problems. Rest and recover! Elaine
Oh poor you...I’ve just got over a UTI and felt absolutely rubbish but much better now...I had a course of Macrobid and that worked but did take longer than usual and I went back for more antibiotics as I was only given 3 days and that wasn’t long enough...guess low white cells doesn’t help..still took Ibrance though
Get well soon

Glad you are feeling better Barb x
Hope your antibiotics kick in quickly.
If your rotator cuff tear is partial, and not full, you should be able to get it better with a Physio as Sandra so rightly said. It’s hard work, but you could start exercises whilst you are waiting for your bloods to improve.
Get better soon. Clare 🙂
I had 8 bladder infections in one year and then I saw a specialist who told me to put a tiny dab of polysporin on my ----hole every morning after washing or showering. That seems to be really working for me. I never forget to do it because I hate bladder infections. I get so much pain and pee myself so I do everything I can to avoid them. The polysporin seems to block any bacteria from entering my urethra. Hope you get your wbc back up soon and get over your BI. Hugs Marlene
