I know I have asked but really like to know if anyone has had a lot of fluid retention from ibrance or Arimidex? I’m curious to see from which one causes it and what they may replace it with.
I go to oncologist Monday and would like to know what options are on them or are the meds going to continue to cause this. Hospital put me on lasix for it but my husband takes chlorthalidone and it says it’s from estrogen fluid retention he takes for high blood pressure.
This is a person that use to only take herbs now I’m on all these drugs and not thrilled about it but you have to do what you have to do.

No and sometimes I feel better when I’m on it. My dr said a lot of patients say that. I think the Arimidex makes me feel worse. I take my medicine at night with my dinner. At what time of day do you take yours?
I have a regiment I eat at 8:00 then at 8:30 I take the Arimidex so it doesn’t make me neauses the about 9 I eat a small amount of food or remains of my dinner. I take the Ibrance then I go to bed about 12:00. I just take everything on a full stomach and late as possible. It workks for me but maybe a little late for some. Won’t hurt to try.
I take mine at night before bed...usually on an empty stomach...but I would definitely discuss the fluid retention with the doctor... there are 2-3 other AI’s that U could try if this one is causing problems...my aqua fitness class gets rid or any sore and achiness that I have...I can tell when I have to skip a week...
Lol! Almost 3 years in! But we all have different symptoms and side effects from them...if it upsets your stomach then by all means eat a snack with it...u have to adjust to u...I feel the best after a hard workout 🏋️♀️ and most think that sounds crazy...! 😀
I just got out of hospital because of pneumonia and fluid retention from Arimidex. Dr said it’s was from that. I lost 17 lbs in 4 days and over 5 gallons of fluid they said it is from Arimidex
That’s why I’m curious about others retention of fluid. That’s a lot of fluid. It was like I was being crushed
