Tramodol: morning all yes another night... - Restless Legs Syn...
Tramodol
I wonder whether your doctor or neurologist has prescribed any other medication which can be swapped with the tramadol every now and again?
Hi Beady, if the Tramadol is only keeping you awake at night and you are not having worse symptoms coming in the day time, or earlier in the day time, then its not augmentation, so you can rule that one out. I would say you have become tolerant to them. I would see your doctor and discuss it. We cant really tell you what to do on whether to up them or not. Thats for your doctor to tell you. Good luck, let us know how you get on.
I would agree with others -discuss with gp and if you can a pain nurse or other specialist - but consider upping them - i was very loathe to do so but feel so much better after persuasion to do just that. Now on 100 mg x twice a day plus a 50mg top up- pain better but as you will know it also seems to work on stiffness and mood.
Everything I start has to be increased and at some point I at a point where I am about to overdose or have other bad effects, that is when I start something else.
I've been on the tram for eight years now. my regime is that i take the slow release twice a day but if i feel I'm going to get a attack i take a 50mg instant tab. This regime can give me terrible insomnia so i take clonazepam before bed.
I was taking 50mg of tramadol with 5mg of requip my legs got crazy for 30-45min then I would fall asleep. If my legs acted up during the day my legs again get crazy then I fall asleep. not good.
Hi Dottie, you were not on a very high dose were you ,I take 2 tabs 50 mg a day and it realy is going ok except for blip last week. Do you mean you fall of to sleep in the day because of the tabs not clear what you ment hope you get it sorted x
