Having a rant.

Fed up today. I have £100 a month less money coming in due to circumstances beyond my control. I had a lovely brown envelope to open this morning explaining the drop in my income. I have felt low all day and went to bed at three oclock this afternoon because it has been a stressful week. I slept for a few hours and woke up really craving a ciggie. I decided not to give in and have made another day smoke free. I really hoped that I would be better off financially having given up and that I would be able to put the money by, but alas no.... life can kick you in the backside sometimes. Still, If I had been smoking, I would have been even worse off than I am now. At the moment this seems little consolation. I am fed up. :(

Oh Andrea what a horrible thing to have happen,I feel for you ...but a BIG WELL DONE on not allowing the government to derail you on quit :) yes life can and does frequently kick many of us up the backside and normally when we've made a conscious effort to amend something ourselves !! there is an old saying in religious circles ..we are never given more than we can cope with..or as the rolling stones said ..you might not get what you want but if you try sometimes you might just get what you need..which i've always interprited as i might not get the luxuaries in life but i will always have just enough for essentials..and that pretty much has been my case lol. So i am thankful for those small mercies. As you say had you not quit, this would indeed have been a BIGGER financial worry..so well done you. Big Hugs through cyber :) jan x

Sorry to hear about your trouble, its a horrible thing to loose out on money wharever the reason.

Chin up though, it will get easier and well done you for not giving in and having a ciggy.

A lot of people say that they dont notice a difference in their finances after they stop smokingbut that is usually because they spend that money on something else (I have uped our mortgage payments)

You did the right thing going to have a lie down this afternoon, and well done on nothaving a fag.

We all have days that we feel fed up, try and not let it get you down, maybe go for a walk someday, clear the cobwebs off and clear your head/lungs, it might cheer you up a little
