Stoptober starts next week , where everyone who wishes to quit smoking can get help and advice and take the Stoptober challenge .. On line support like here at Quit Support and all other social media will be helping and supporting to give you all the best chance of being smokefree within 28 days.
So today Sunday why not give yourself a trial run . When you go to light up that cigarette stop!
Think! can you go and drink a glass of water, or make a cup of tea or simply find a small task that will take your mind of smoking that cigarette. Wait 5 minutes .Sometimes distraction can help. Even if you do light up later over the day you have probably cut down the amount you smoked compared to what you used to do.
Its not an easy task but its possible.
Why not make a list of all the little jobs you can do over the next month , and reward yourself with a little treat ( not a cigarette) you may find its easier than what you thought.
Dont forget to look in at this forum daily as we have new information everyday , plus other distractions such as music requests . puzzles and short videos.
